Comments about LaScala Optics 5-15x17 LS Sparrow Zoom Binocular:
The Sparrow has excellent optical quality and is comfortable and easy to adjust. We use it for job site inspections. The small size makes it convenient to carry so it's available when you need. Larger binoculars tend to stay in the truck so you find yourself having to go back to the truck when you realize you need them. The only negative is the Sparrow comes with a wrist strap instead of a neck strap that frees up your hands.

Comments about LaScala Optics 5-15x17 LS Sparrow Zoom Binocular:
I'm a lowly security guard and this binocular is very reliable while on the job. It comes in handy when I'm in the guard tower and surveilling my surrounding for any sign of trouble. What I really love is that it's small and very lightweight and I always carry it with the included case that I have attached to my belt. Visuals are very clear but zooming can cause a narrowing effect which is to be expected from this type of binocular. Once I mastered it, it wasn't a problem anymore. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I spotted a hot babe...uh...I mean trouble at 3:00. Stay safe.

Comments about LaScala Optics 5-15x17 LS Sparrow Zoom Binocular:
Very clear vision. Requires fairly bright conditions at higher zoom due to small objective lens diameter. Zoom range very functional for size of optics. Field of view is average for a zoom binocular. Easy to focus. Varying eye relief requires some getting used to. Diopter setting is hard to read because of its location. Zoom lever could be in a more ergonomic position. Very convenient to take anywhere because of its compact size and weight. Option for attaching neckstrap, instead of just wriststrap, would be useful. Overall, hard to beat for the price.

Comments about LaScala Optics 5-15x17 LS Sparrow Zoom Binocular:
These binoculars are really small and light to carry. They come with a well fitting small soft case that makes them easy to carry in my purse. I use these for travel purposes. The fog proof and waterproof features were important to me as well as being compact. These features work great. Most all binoculars that I have owned fogged up fairly quickly and these don't. I haven't had a chance to test out the waterproof feature yet. I am sure that if that feature works as well as the fogproof feature it will be great.
