As musician, I use this cart to transport my music gear from my car to the performance venue. There are many times when I am faced with carrying my gear several blocks from the nearest parking garage, or through the labyrinth of a large hotel complex. Since I have have acquired the Tri-Kart 800, I have noticed several changes in my equipment setup habits. Nowadays, I tend to bring more "backup scenario" equipment with me to the gig, rather than going back to the car to retrieve the necessary item. I can now easily bring both both a large amp and a smaller one, without having to scope out the room size first. Once setup is done, I enjoy using the cart to bring all of my luggage to my hotel room in one trip. For the first time in decades, I actually look forward to transporting my gear.I love how I can pile a tall, heavy stack of gear on the cart. I just tilt it back, and then have the cart supporting all the weight, rather than my body. At the time of this review, B&H Photo had the best price of the Tri-Kart that I have found on the internet. The ordering process was trouble-free, and the shipping was prompt.Over the years, I have spent a great deal of money on great music equipment that I use to make a living. Not knowing any better, I would always use a $50 cart from [@] for my purposes. Even though I was hesitant to spend this amount of money on something as mundane as an equipment/luggage cart, I have to say that hands down, this is one of the wisest investments I have ever made. I just wish that I had known about this product ten years ago.

I was salivating over the prospect of getting my first Remin cart. Their stellar reputation and the way the tri-kart promised to ease the transport of heavy equipment cases through airports made me proud to buy their made in the USA product. That was a little over a year ago. since then, I have found this cart is NOT nearly as durable as it claims and belies Remin's stellar reputation.I bought the cart with the handle accessory (HIGHLY recommended _ virtually can't be used without it) and the case (which used to be referred to as a 'flight case').Let's start with the accessories. Rubber grips are incredibly difficult to get on to the crossbar. Used WD40 and all sorts of other lubricant before I finally got them on. Today, the ends have ripped off the rubber grips. The flight case was completely worthless. The cart BARELY fit inside and the VERY first time I zipped it up, the zipper grip snapped right off the zipper. What a joke. Completely worthless.About five months ago, the handle stopped retracting fully, and the small black button that's supposed to retract the handle basically stopped working (the button would push, but it wouldn't release the slide). So, Remin's got this great lifetime warranty, right? Surely, when I call them with this issue, they'll be quick to accommodate. After all, with accessories, we're talking about a $200 cart. Nope. The guy I talked to on the phone at Remin said that happens frequently with the tri-kart, so they don't cover it. I would need to pay $40, plus the cost of shipping it to them. What a joke! The vertical tubes are NOT durable and prone to bending (and, NO, I am NOT overloading it). Also, I have to WD40 the foldout wheels frequently as they often squeak rolling through the airport.I gave it two starts, because the design is good and it gave me a decent year or so. I will never buy a Remin product again. In fact, I'm posting this review while shopping for a new cart to replace this tri-kart 800.

I use this cart to haul bottles of water to young street trees in New York City. I'm a light-weight woman and am able to easily haul 80 lbs with my Tri-Kart 800. This well designed cart is a back-saver! I installed the rubber grip bar, which makes the cart super easy to steer.

I bought a 34 string harp that weights about 30 lbs. After much research, I decided to get the Tri-Kart 800 and B&H had the best price. The Kart is easy to load and steers like a dream. I take my harp to class every week and would not leave home without it! It is also easy to fold up and store. The only thing it didn't have is the bicycle type handle, which can be ordered separately.

Comments about Remin Tri-Kart 800 Cart:
My wife (5'4" 108lbs.)is a free-lance makeup artist/hair stylist in Las Vegas who carries about 100lbs of cosmetic and hair products and styling equipment along with a makeup chair and lighting setup to between 25 to 40 bookings a month -- in and out of hotels, convention centers studios and private homes -- over long carpet walk and hallways and sometimes up and down steps.
This kart last longer than any we tried previously, is pretty light for what it can carry and folds up compactly.
We still only get about 2-3 years before problems occur extending and compacting the handle. They fix it under "warranty" but it still cost $70 and you have to ship it back to them and it altogether takes a couple of weeks (unless you want to spend a bundle for express shipping) So if you really need one on a daily basis, you better buy two -- so you will have a back up.
It might be good for 300lbs... but I don't know for how long..
I highly recommend getting the special wide grip handle assembly option as it will make navigating the cart when fully packed much easier. Especially if you need to go on a lot of carpeted areas (like casinos and hotel hallways)
Not perfect but the best we have found for her needs.
