This is a great foot pedal! The software is so user friendly & easy to use. I saw cheaper pedals, but I really like that I was able to just unpack everything and get started transcribing in about 10 minutes. The pedal is definitely Sony quality. I would but this one again in a heartbeat and will recommend to anyone who will listen.

The software is old and apparently does not work with later voice recorders - something the specification page does not point out. Right now I feel like I threw my money away.

My IC recorder was a later version than those listed as compatible with the Digitial Voice Editor 2 that came with this transcriber. However, when I installed the Sound Organizer software for IC recorder then the transcriber worked. It's great for transcribing class lectures.

This system with the digital voice recorder I already bought is wonderful. So much easier to use than the old tape transcription system I was using before. I highly recommend going digital and using this system.

I needed a plug and play device that came with no operation hassles. But that wasn't the case. Not only could I not get the device to work, nor could the Sony Tech. However, I still love Sony products. And the Tech was first rate. I've got to believe it's the product.

I use the foot pedal in my research to assist with changing audio interviews into transcripts that I then can analyse qualitatively. The foot pedal speeds up anyone's rate of transcription because it frees up your hands to type while your feet start/stop or rewind the recording. I wish there was some place to send them to for repairs. They are sturdy but they sometimes wear out and I sense that it is simply an electronic switch that needs replacing.

I transcribe court hearings. This is my second Digital Voice Recorder. I had one for several years, but the foot petal eventually wore out. This new one is great! Mine is attached to a Digital Voice Editor and it works wonderful.

DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING THIS FOOT PEDAL! There are far better USB units on the market, such as the Infinity, which works with a plethora of dictation software and has a three piece design, is large, is responsive, properly weighted and properly angled for comfortable long term use.

In theory the product appeared to be exactly what I needed for the Digital Voice Recorder that I had purchased. In reality, it wasn't - only because it is not compatible with a Mac computer. The rating shown is really not valid, but I had to enter something. I know of folks who use this product on a PC and they're very pleased with it.

The unit is easy to use and lightweight. I recently received it and used it immediately. It made transcribing much easier and faster. The headphones with the unit work but I found them extremely uncomfortable so I used a different set of headphones I already had.

The USB Foot Controlled transcription kit was a huge time saver for me. I was able to listen to the WAV formatted recording clearly while being able to start, stop, back up, and go forward. This unit enabled me to type long documents very quickly.
