Rosco's premier range of filters are manufactured in a unique technology to insure the longest possible life under hot theatrical lights.
Three discrete layers are combined in a tri-extrusion process. By sealing the colored layer between two microscopically thin layers of clear film, dye migration is minimized and effective life is extended.
Diffusion filters are designed to alter the shadow characteristics or the beam shape of light.

I got this to put over top of an on camera LED light so that it would not blind the bride at a wedding. Works great without reducing the intensity too much.

I use this filter for a DIY table top photo studio. Great light diffusion even with cheap lighting (I am upgrading) and I've taken some excellent auction pictures.

I use tough frost on my lights for interviews. Does a great job of softening the light while not cutting the brightness too badly.

Using these with my LED lights has turned out to be the best interview lighting solution I've run across. They soften just enough with leaving the output mostly in tact.

This give a nice quality to the light. It was also easy to cut it into sizes that just fit my gel frames for a Tota Light and Pro Light.

I purchased a couple of these a few years ago and they have served me very well. The material is similar to a milar material and they are heat resistant.
I put them over 250-500 watt work lights and they make a great makeshift soft light. You can't beat these. They are tough, large and very sufficient for the job. I fold them and take them anywhere easily. They have paid for themselves many times over and have saved me time and money.

If you're looking to buy Rosco 103, this is it. 103 gives any light a "soft" appearance. I use it in interior decorating to mask light bulbs in otherwise clear fixtures.
