Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
The point of trying to connect my MP3 player to the car is to hear clear music, not static. This did not live up to expectations, I am returning this item and buying something else that performs better.

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
We used this device on a recent road trip in order to listen to books downloaded into MP3 files (from the public domain). It worked like a charm. We live in a large metro area, and I have experimented with it even there. It is harder to find an interference-free frequency in such an area, but it can be done with what is offered. On the open road, there is no problem whatsoever. I drape the antenna up over the passenger-side sun visor where it seems to work best. We don't smoke, so I love getting this utility out of the cigarette lighter!

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
I live in Houston w/a lot of channel interference. The problem I have the most is that it only works with 107Fm stations and not the 88FM stations. It says it does but, mine does not work on those settings. Maybe mine is defective. My advice is to save your $$$ and buy a new CD deck with an audio output on it. They are as cheap as $100.

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
Works very well, but we're out in the country where there aren't too many competing signals. My only gripe is that I'm used to an ipod transmitter/charger that you can tune to any channel you want. This one has a limited number of presets, but we found one that works fine.

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
Very disappointed in this transmitter. Have a Sony MP3 player that I love but wanted to use it on a road trip so I bought the transmitter. It was like having your car radio on a bad station the whole time.
Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
I have had this device for a couple months and I'm VERY happy with it. Great way of listening to THOUSANDS of songs, instead of having to flip through CD's. Now I don't have to listen to my MP3 player just at the gym. I can listen to it in my car. This transmitter is VERY easy to use and quick to install. You just need to find a good way to where the wires won't get in your way of shifting or driving.

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
Lots of interference even with the strongest radio station. Works well only when the car is parked in the garage. Very disappointing.

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
I use it to play my IRiver MP3 player through my car's FM radio. Use almost exclusively for recorded books and it works well. There are times when it picks up static or a distant radio station that interferes with reception. If traveling out of home base, you might run into competing stations. Would be difficult, if not dangerous, to change stations while driving.

Comments about Sony DCC-FMT3 DC Cigarette Lighter Mobile FM Stereo Transmitter:
I live in San Francisco where I guess there are a lot of stations used, so it's really difficult to find a station that keeps a stable transmission. My commute to work is about 40 miles and I had to keep changing stations. When I did get a feed, the reception was sometimes pretty bad.
