Nice and smooth to the touch, clean texture. Archival. Acid-Free. Worth the $ if you're trying to store material for an extended amount of time. Much better than a shoebox.

          Comments about 11.75 x 15 x 1.5" Drop-Front Archival Storage Box (Black):

Purchased this box to store my prints for the duration of a darkroom class. Excellent durability, very convenient because it is not too bulky, and also I think it looks classier in the black. The only thing I would say is that if you're looking for something more long-term than I was, get a 3" instead of a 1.5" because there is limited space.
