I own two of these and would buy another if I had the need. Note that there is a stabalizer nipple on the back of the unit that is intended to plug into the lower of the two sockets in a wall outlet. GFI outlets can have slightly more space between the upper and lower sockets in a wall outlet thus preventing the user to plug in. I cut off the nipple and all is well - looks great and there is no noticable loss of stability.

This works great with one slight modification. For some reason it comes with a plastic peg on the back that prevents you from plugging it into just about all wall outlets. After cutting this plastic off with some heavy duty scissors or pliars, it works great. This is great to get the power strip off of the floor, and make things look a little cleaner. However, this will only work if you just have 2 components (TV and DVR). Its not functional for a living room setup that requires more than 2 power outlets (TV, DVR, Blu-Ray, etc).

The best thing about a surge protector to know when it actually works. There was a huge surge and power outage that was stopped by hurting my TV and Stereo. I had to buy a new one since the surge protector worked and took huge surge from outage.

An excellent choice for flat-screen TVs or household appliances where you need a compact, flat, neat surge protector. I re-routed 2 TVs with coaxial cables. The surge protector works fine with flat-screen and analog TVs, and with both R-59 and R-6 coaxial cables. The graphic instructions make it very easy even for a non-tech person to use correctly.

I bought 3 of these and they are working well. They fit nicely against the wall and are compact in size (not flat, but the depth of a 3-prong plug). They have the coaxial cable connections which are gold-plated. I'm using one for my new flat-screen TV, one for an old analog TV, and one for my refrigerator. It's good to feel secure.
This is a great value. Shop around and you will not get more for your money.
