The RF Power Presenter was the solution to our problem. As a church, we use MediaShout as our primary presentation software. When a message or presentation was to be given, if the presenter wanted to control his or her own slides, we had to close down MediaShout and open Powerpoint with their presentation. When they were done, we had to reopen MediaShout. All of this was because most presentation remotes do not work well with MediaShout. With this remote, we were able to select what keystroke each button on the remote was and easily set it up so that our presentations could remain in MediaShout. The range on the remote is great. Our room is 50 long and the remote is behind a wooden booth with a lot of other equipment but works flawlessly. The size of the remote is small and not distracting during the message.
The one con I can think of are that the remote could have more buttons but are not really needed. They have a "third" button option by pressing both buttons at the same time but this is difficult to do with one hand and you often end up pressing one then the other instead of at the same time.

I just bought one of these to use on stage to control a computer for a touring show I'm part of.
I have very mixed feelings about this product. It is extremely versatile. You can program the each button to do a variety of different keystrokes. Everything from "Page Up" "Page Down" to the letter "P" or even just "Enter". I was very happy about that. Unfortunately, it only works about 50% of the time when using it from on stage (20 feet from receiver). It would only work 100% of the time if I was within 2 feet of the receiver. This was very frustrating and it made the remote almost unusable for the show. They advertise something like 150 feet, so I'm wondering if something is wrong with my remote. I have tried replacing the batteries with no improvement. I hope I can find a solution because otherwise I really like what this product has to offer.

Comments about Honeywell PPRF Wireless PowerPoint Remote:
One upon a time years ago I bought an expensive Remote for my Macintosh PowerPoint presentations. Several models had come on the market with the new Radio Frequency technology (replacing the old Infra-Red, which required us to aim the Remote directly at the computer). But all those models were still built only for PC (Windows) computers, not Macintosh—except one. That one would work with a Mac—but ONLY to ADVANCE slides, not back them up!
I bought it anyway, thinking that 99% of the time I DO want to advance the
slide, not back it up. And it worked well enough: If I occasionally wanted to
reverse a slide, I'd press the "Up Arrow" on my computer keyboard.
But then, when upgraded to a newer version of both Mac operating system and PowerPoint, I found that my Remote would not work AT ALL when I
put the PowerPoint "Slide Show" into its "Presenter Mode" (which allows me to see not only the slide presently seen by the audience on the projection screen but also the NEXT slide coming up for me to display)!!! So without the help of a Remote, I would have to stand "chained" to my computer and
press the "Up Arrow" on the keyboard continually.
When I was out of town to give one of my lectures, the "tech" person asked if I wanted to use his beautifully compact little Remote, which he said didn't
even need any extra software! I thankfully said "Yes" and tried it. It worked amazingly well—both forwards and backwards—and was LESS than HALF as bulky as my old, inoperable Remote! That helpful tech person later gave me not only the the exact name and model number of the Remote I wanted, but he also told me that he bought his at B & H, e-mailing me their contact information. I checked their on-line catalog and found the price for this precisely engineered and up-to-date Remote was substantially LESS than what I had paid years before for my antiquated one—PLUS B & H even gives a discount on that list price when the customer places his order!
When I phoned B & H to order, their sales agent was able to answer a question I had and was extremely polite—more than polite but helpful—for I also ordered two lithium batteries "because I always want to carry a spare." He placed my order, and we both hung up. Then 5 minutes later,
my phone rang with him calling me back, telling me that he checked and found that the Remote comes with ONE battery (which is not mentioned at all in the online catalog description). So he said I could change my order to only one battery and still have a spare. Talk about good service!
I received delivery of my order safely and quite promptly. Is it any wonder that I am one "HAPPY camper"?

Comments about Honeywell PPRF Wireless PowerPoint Remote:
I love the range of this remote. It is true RF, not infrared or short range bluetooth. It is designed for reliability and so far has worked well in environments that are electronically noisy. The remote is nice and small, with only the buttons you really need. It is easy to tell by feel which button is which, so no fumbling around or having to look down at the remote. This keeps the audience focused on you and the presentation, not the technology behind the presentation.

Needed a presentation remote for church that truly had a long distance. This one does. Also needed one where the transmitter was wired, so that we could place it in sight range of the remote (a "thumb drive"-type usb would not work for us). This one is wired.

I received two--yes, two--bad units. The first one would not properly sync with the transmitter and the second one worked for about 2 weeks then would no longer work. When I called to return the second one they wouldn't take it back without the original packaging. Lame.
