Our motocross club bought this for me to announce the races and it has performed really well under very harsh conditions. Heat, dust, wind and exposure to very high sound levels haven't fazed it yet. (The first event had all of thse elements PLUS the P.A. system was being run on a generator too.) The last event I did I was able to get over 500 feet in range (the receiver was in the announcing tower and I was down on the track, in line-of-sight) with no bikes at the track. With the bikes running range was still 300 feet or better. (To clarify, motocross bikes put out a LOT of ignition noise which will affect even VHF/UHF and FM radio based equipment, thus the shorter range when the races were running.) Outstanding performance that matches the $ system I used in the past.Battery life: To avoid having to possibly change batteries in mid-show, I used Lithium AA Energizers. My first set ran well over 18 hours and was still ok before I changed them for yesterday's race. ANY wireless system, regardless of price, is VERY dependant on using the best possible batteries for best results. Also ensuring the receiver is line of sight, with no metal objects close by or in the line of sight will help with performance (and possibly extend usable battery life.) Like one other reviewer, I am not a fan of the on/off/mute button either, but got used to it quickly. The one thing AT really should change is make the LED in the button bigger and/or brighter, it is very hard to see when working outdoors as I do. Overall a product I would highly recommend for just about any use. (It will distort somewhat at high levels so intense vocals are not the best thing to do with this system.)I have been doing professional audio work for over 20 years and this system is the best performing value-priced I have used so far.

Sound quality not bad considering the price. Some distortion at high levels. Defintiely not for singing but more than adequate for speaking use.

The drawback is that the battery life is awful. Got about 3 hours of use on Duracell alkalines. Figured the cost of batteries would evetnually cost as much as getting a more expensive microphone with better run time so returned.

I now own 3 of these wireless mic's. Good range and sound quality. I needed base units that have volume control which this unit has. Very pleased with this purchase. Picked up some hum at one location, might have needed a RF choke on the power cord.

Being an Itinerant Missionary, all my equipment is worked hard in many outside harsh environments.I have found the ATW-702 to be reliable and as tough as my more expensive Shure and EV wireless mics. This is my second one. On a recent trip to Mexico, doing outside 100 degree event using a generator, I accidently plugged the wrong power supply into the receiver, so I had to replace it. Exceptional value for the price.

Recently purchased this mic for our church. The style and sound quality are excellent. I'm not a big fan of the push button on the end of the mic for on / off / mute. That's just a personal preference thing, though. Others may like it just fine. Overall, no complaints about this mic so far.

We use this product for a line dancing club and are passing it from instructor to reviewers all evening. One of the great aspects of this Mike is that it uses AA baterys. We use it for about 4 hours an evening and use NMH rechargeable batteries of 2400ma These batteries are readily avalable and we consider them to be GREEN.
The sound seems to be good although the volume is not as bold as our last Mike. Like most of these wireless Mikes they seem to have some dead spots out on the floor when your body is directly between the Mike and the reciever.
Over all though we are very satisfied with the Mike and the service from B&H.
