Buying ink for a printer is usually not the high point of the day. But as a photographer, I am in constant need of quality ink, quality service, and good prices. I've been turning to B&H for all three for a long time. When I buy ink, I usually need it asap but more importantly, I need ink that has not been sitting store's shelves for months. Again, I go to B&H. I never buy ink anywhere else. Period.

this is the best ink for the Epson Stylus 3800 printer. however, it is very expensive. we print flyers in-house, and a box of ink runs out after only a few flyers. they end up being quite expensive flyers! although still cheaper than having them printed elsewhere.

Cartridge exactly as described: a geniune Epson product. Five stars because of the price; cheapest anywhere I could find inc. free shipping. Con: like many Epson cartridges I have bought elsewhere manufacturing date was a while ago: 12/05. So far that has not impacted quality ( I have one going back to 2004 bought elsewhere) in fact only one of my cartridges is anywhere near recent: yellow: 1/10. so I guess it's not a big deal.

This ink prints beautifully, gives true rich color, and the cartridge lasts quite a while. It is a great product. It is costly though, as is most inkjet ink. Go with Canon brand though - never buy third party ink.

I've looked into the 3rd party inks and yes, they save you some money - but let's be honest. Epson has a lot of R&D behind these inks and the quality is unmatched. I hate how it slowly drains my bank account to print with the 3800, but the lab was still more expensive, so there you go. I only left one star off because of the ethically questionable pricing and overall inkjet ink scam.
