The Sigma PG-21 Power Grip is a specially designed battery pack with a vertical grip and vertical shutter release that is dedicated for use with the Sigma SD14 Digital Camera. It can hold two BP-21 batteries simultaneously - thereby doubling the effective shooting time of the camera.

Comments about Sigma PG-21 Power Grip:
This does everything a vertical grip should do, it adds some nice weight for those who enjoy heavier cameras and of course an extra grip for vertical shots. The thing it doesn't seem to do so well is actually take advantage of both batteries. Not entirely sure what the deal is but with (4) batteries, some being Sigma and others third party, no matter which combination, the camera only ever shows half battery with two batteries loaded. If you remove one battery from the grip, it shows full battery. This happens with each battery, have it be Sigma or other brand.
Other than that, I still enjoy this grip for the ergonomic reasons.

Comments about Sigma PG-21 Power Grip:
I have two SD14 bodies, one with a PG-21 power grip and one without, and I just bought a second power grip for the second body. Without the grip, the body is a bit small for larger hands. The grip adds just enough size for easier handling, and having two batteries let's me shoot longer in the field without switching batteries. Other pluses: Since the door is on the back of the grip, rather than on the bottom, battery swaps are quicker. And the grip has a second shutter button on the right side, for easier shooting in "portrait" position.

The Sigma power grip has been very useful and the dual battery capacity of the grip provides longer use.
