Epson Photo Semi-gloss Paper is an instant-drying paper on a resin-coated (RC) base. This RC barrier allows the paper to maintain vivid, lifelike colors that rival traditional prints. Its non-cockling base makes it ideal for photographs, portfolio images, proofs, displays and posters. It creates high-quality prints by offering maximum ink coverage with brilliant color inks that dry in an instant.

Comments about Epson Photo Semi-Gloss Paper - 16.5 x 100' Roll:
The Epson Semi-Gloss roll paper was a winner. It was rated at 250.
The new version is rated at 160, which is much thinner and bruises easily.
I returned the above and I'm now using their lustre paper, which I find to be excellent.

Comments about Epson Photo Semi-Gloss Paper - 16.5 x 100' Roll:
I used this paper with my Epson 4880 to make a banner of the company's logo for display in the factory. The colors are vivid and the semi-gloss is just the right surface to be snappy but not overly reflective.

Comments about Epson Photo Semi-Gloss Paper - 16.5 x 100' Roll:
nice color reproduction (when used with the correct profiles )a more heavy weight gsm would perhaps make this paper a more versatile product. Is good for posters and proofing in its current 170 gsm weight

Comments about Epson Photo Semi-Gloss Paper - 16.5 x 100' Roll:
So this is probably my own fault for not realizing that this particular product's thickness was labeled 170, rather than what I'm used to getting which is the 250. I don't like the thinner paper - it feels flimsy and like it could be damaged easily. Other than thickness it seems to print just as well, I just wish I had realized it wasn't the same thickness as I'm used to.

Comments about Epson Photo Semi-Gloss Paper - 16.5 x 100' Roll:
We use Photo Semi-Gloss Paper (170) - 16.5 x 100 by Epson in our Stylus Photo 4880 w/ ColorBurst RIP. It quickly became our default proofing paper. It does not vary from roll to roll, providing a stable media for our strict color requirements. From photography through pre-press and the offset printing process we rely on this paper to help keep our proofs consistent and accurate to our profiles.
