The Shure RK100PK is a Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) rejecting preamplifier for all Shure MX series microphones. The RK100PK features radio frequency interference properties that reject radio noise due to nearby transmitters, powerful 2-way radios, grounding issues, etc. The preamplifier features a standard 3-pin XLR output connector. An external phantom power source is still required to power the MX series microphones.

Comments about Shure RK100PK - RFI Resistant Preamp for MX Microphones:
I'm using this with a WL-185 lav mic for wired close-in miking while recording. I also use the Shure RPM626 pre-amps with the same mics. The RPM626 has more gain and is a bit noisier with the lavs, but they both work. FYI, Shure says the RPM626 is intended for higher SPLs from Beta mics.

Comments about Shure RK100PK - RFI Resistant Preamp for MX Microphones:
Performing as a wedding officiant in San Diego keeps things interesting with wireless microphones. With all the military and research communications and the mexico radio transmissions it tough to keep a constant wireless signal. The RK100PK allows me to shift to a wired countryman mic in an instant with the capability to block out the unwanted signal interruptions. The simplest and yet greatest thing about this little unit is the belt clip that is added. It is an exceptional tool to have in the aresenal.
