The Bowens Quick Ring with Swivel is a softbox speed ring. Its unique design makes it easier to set up a softbox. Most softbox speed rings require the user to use increasing force while inserting the rods into the ring. By the time the user reaches the last rod, not enough force can be mustered, or too much force is used, resulting in a damaged rod.
The Bowens Quick Ring allows easy inserting of each rod. Then, it pivots in its module, and the user snaps it into place, with much less force than with a conventional speed ring.

Wow - what a difference! I have only used traditional speedrings in the past and when assembling a large softbox it was always a pain. These Quick Rings make a huge difference. They make the assembly and disassembly quick, simple and effortless.

This seems like a solid, functional product though it's not obvious how to connect a flash. Accessories show only gloves!
Comments about Bowens Quick Ring with Swivel:
if it wasn't for this, I would still be setting up my softbox. Great product.

Comments about Bowens Quick Ring with Swivel:
This speed ring is a good value. It seems sturdy and it is pretty easy to use. But I bought it thinking I would use it with an octobox. Wrong! Not enough holes. It's only good for square soft boxes.

Easy to use speed ring, fits an SP Studio Balcar insert perfectly for secure use with the Einstein strobe. A little bit on the pricier side for speed rings that I have used, but worth it.

Comments about Bowens Quick Ring with Swivel:
If you get these you still need the part that attaches to the monolight. The photflex quick rings for bowen are all one piece and attach directly to the bowens. I don't even know if they sell the attachment piece.

Comments about Bowens Quick Ring with Swivel:
Too many times we buy things just because it costs the most. This is the cheapest speed ring out there. Not pretty, not fancy but does the job of connecting between the Quick Ring by Bowens and the light. You do not need to spend another $50.
