Comments about Tenba Transport LL600 II Long Lens Bag:

I used the Transport 400mm for 3 years & traveled the world with it , easy to carry specially if u have a backpack & u want to carry on ur long glass also this is simply the solution for it , lite wight & hard from the 6 sides & has soft cushion from the inside to protect ur glass & even if it rains no water will get inside the bag & I thought to buy the Transport 600mm so I can have 2 bags for the 2 long glasses that I have & even carry 2 long glasses without warring how to carry them

Comments about Tenba Transport LL600 II Long Lens Bag:

I use this case to transport a Canon 800mm f/5.6L lens plus a pro-body (in my car or slung over my shoulder, but not by air). It offers good protection, quality construction, and because it is lighter than the supplied Canon hard case, and has handles and straps, it makes the lens and camera easy to carry. A tripod or monopod can be strapped to the side of the case also.

I would like to see this case offered with two backpack-type straps in addition to the padded shoulder strap -- these would make carrying less awkward in some situations.

I fashioned a two-inch thick foam collar (with a hole that just fits around the small end of my lens) that is sized to fit the inside dimensions of the case. This holds the lens centered in the case and keeps it from shifting when being carried. I'm not sure if this is necessary but it eliminates bumps and resultant strain on the camera-lens mount when carrying the lens with the camera attached.

I have not used this case in the rain, but it is clear that it would protect the equipment in a light or intermittent rain.

There are two generously-sized padded pockets on the side and a padded pocket inside the lid. I carry a better beemer in one of the pockets. This case is designed for a 600mm f/4 lens but it fits an 800mm lens covered with a lens-coat, with the lens hood reversed and with the standard Canon lens cap. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Comments about Tenba Transport LL600 II Long Lens Bag:

I shoot sports, and -- lacking an assistant to hold my gear -- I wanted a bag which would hold my Canon 500mm f/4 lens with the hood deployed, so I could carry it easily when not in use, yet relatively quickly attach a body to it and start shooting. This is one of the tallest lens bags available, and it gets the job done. With the lens hood deployed and a camera body attached, you can't quite close the lid all the way; but you can get it very close, and you are still able to secure the lid with the quick connector. There's a soft zippered pocket under the lid; and the zippered outside pocket, while a bit narrow, is padded as well, which is a nice touch. Build quality is excellent. It comes with a nice, heavily padded shoulder strap, but no backpack option. The only thing I would really like to have different is if there were quick connectors on the tripod straps, and if there was an insert you could slip down over the lens barrel to keep it from flopping around a little inside the bag. Of course, this may not be an issue if you put a 600mm lens in the bag, and that's what is was designed for.
