Comments about SureFire M78 Universal Clamp Mount:

Mount is solid. Is adjustable to allow for tube diameters larger than .80" so adjust carefully before final clamping or you'll probably break it. Used/adjusted properly and it will be good to go for most all applications. It is lower profile than most other mounts that fit this diameter, does protect the finish of the device you are using it with. Highly recommended! I'm using 2 to distribute the load evenly.... a little more expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Comments about SureFire M78 Universal Clamp Mount:

It is a good clamp and reasonably priced. You must be careful to adjust the tension carefully or you will break the polymer closer. It looks like aluminum, but it is not.

Comments about SureFire M78 Universal Clamp Mount:

This is a great "no tools" option for attaching your handheld light to your firearm. Fits any .08" flahlight body, like the E2D Defender or any other E series light. It also fits larger lights like the M3LT and UB3T! The clamp is adjustable so I can even fit the LX2 in it but the LX2 body is a little fatter than .08" so the clamp has to be adjusted nearly all the way out, but it does fit. Overall it's a very versitile and easy to use light mount at a very reasonable price. There are some rubber pads inside that clamp that help hold the light securely without scratching it. The only downside is that some parts are plastic and can break if you don't adjust the mount before clamping it securely.

Comments about SureFire M78 Universal Clamp Mount:

This is the perfect mount for my .8" laser/flashlight. It is not easy to find this size, but when I found this one, I couldn't wait to order it.

Comments about SureFire M78 Universal Clamp Mount:

In fear of snapping the clamp with excessive force I used a razor blade to cut off about half a penny thickness from the two rubber pads finally allowing the clamp to close with the light inserted. Heads up, the clamp is .8 so will not work with the 1" lights.
