Comments about Zeiss Vertical Grip:
Essential if you carry your Zeiss Ikon rangefinder in your hand all the time. It provides a secure grip and keeps your hand relaxed when carrying the camera one handed for hours on end.
I find any strap gets in my way and do not use a bag as I like to always be ready to shoot. This grip assures I never drop the camera even when dangling in my hand.
It also provides a nicer firmer grip when actually shooting.
I have two Zeiss Ikon bodies, both have these grips.
