The Flip from Belkin allows you to share a single keyboard, mouse, speakers and monitor between two computers. It features a push-button interface with a wired remote for quick and easy switching. The KVM Switch works with computers that use USB connections for the keyboard and mouse and a VGA connection for the display. It installs easily, with clearly labeled ports to connect cables. The Flip supports VGA resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels, allowing you to use the switch with large monitors. This is a great solution for anyone who wants to share a single monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers between two computers.

It gets the job done. Set up was simple, plug in the connectors and you are ready to go. I had some trouble getting the resolution set right on my monitor. Eventually I disconnected and reconnected all the plugs a few times and it works fine now. The audio connectors are a bit too short but they do provide one extension. The DVI cables are not equally spaced, wasn't a problem for me but if you don't have a good place to put the bus it could be a problem. Overall it works great, switches between computers no problem.

The biggest problem with set up was that you cannot use a wireless mouse and keyboard set, and there was nothing to clue me in to that in instructions or web info (one or the other won't work). You CAN use wireless items, but they must be separate... that is, I used the keyboard from my mouse/keyboard set, and a completely different wireless mouse. That works fine.
However, the little "push button remote" that should toggle the two computers doesn't work. If I slightly unplug it and plug it back in (where it connects to the Flip) then the toggling takes place. I have to do this unplug-replug maneuver each time I want to switch computers. I'm not sure if the remote is broken or there is something I did wrong in the set-up (though I followed instructions and rechecked everything). I've been too busy to do an exchange of product or further investigation. If the remote worked as advertised this would be a cool product (though a lot of extra wires laying about).

Comments about Belkin Flip - 2-Computer USB KVM Switch with Audio Support:
I use this to switch back and forth between 2 computers... pretty simple task. I am having the same problems as another reviewer had. My wireless keyboard and mouse normally don't want to work with this. I eventually got it set up to where it worked OK. I then completely powered down my system for a weekend and it didn't work at all. I unplugged everything and started from scratch. Now I'm having issues with the remote button... again same as another reviewer. If I unplug and plug it back in JUST RIGHT, it will work. I'm not real happy with this product, so I'll be looking for something a little more stable.

Works fine, switching between WinXP and Win7 computers. Had to do some screen resolution resetting at first, no big deal. Takes a second or so after switching for the devices to be detected, but I figure that would be the same for just about any KVM. Good device.

We are using the Belkin USB Flip in our security control room to share a keyboard between two computers - this opens up the desk space that would otherwise be occupied by two keyboards. This one actually replaced the same model that we had for nearly three years that recently bit the dust. Everyone that uses it loves the graphic display in the task bar that shows which computer is currently using the keyboard. The only complaint is that everyone wishes it would switch faster. Overall a great product!

Simple to use and it works. If you have two computers at one workstation, use this device and cut out a keyboard, mouse and monitor from your work area.

This is the second Flip KVM I have purchased.
It's very easy to install and works well with little effort. I like the push-button and it's color-coding.
The only disappointment is it takes 4 seconds for the switch to change over to the second computer.

it's easy to hook up, easy to switch between computers. I am sharing a monitor, trackball and speakers between a PC and MAC with no issues.
The only negative is when using a USB mouse, there may be some delay when making the switch. The worst case is about a 30 second delay and you're back and running.

Comments about Belkin Flip - 2-Computer USB KVM Switch with Audio Support:
The Flip-2 computer switch is so cool. I was going crazy because there were programs on my old computer that couldn't transfer to my new one. Then someone suggested the Belkin switch. Attaching it couldn't have been simpler, and it works like a charm -- tiny and effective. I'd recommend it to anyone who works on two computers.
