This Sea & Sea Fiber Optic L-Type Sync Cable is used to connect the built-in sensor on a Sea & Sea flash to a Sea & Sea housing with optical cable port. When the camera's internal flash fires the cable will fire the external flash. The L shaped connectors resist bending and has improved light conducting efficiency.

Comments about Sea & Sea Fiber Optic Sync Cable L-Type:

This cable replaces a cable that had a straight out connector rather than the 90 degree elbows this one has. The old cable bent sharply at some point and became intermittent. The old cable had large loops and this one is a smaller, tighter loop pattern.

Comments about Sea & Sea Fiber Optic Sync Cable L-Type:

I used this with the Sea & Sea RDX-600 housing for the Canon T3i camera and the Sea &Sea YS-D1 strobes. It works flawlessly. It does not need to penetrate the housing so there are no seals or o-rings to deal with. The only minor downside is that it requires the use of the camera's flash so it wears down the camera battery faster. I don't find this to be a problem because the camera battery lasts for hundreds of flashes. The strobe batteries run down before the camera battery does.

Comments about Sea & Sea Fiber Optic Sync Cable L-Type:

I had an older model of this cable. This replacement is more robust and allows more light to trigger the TTL on my underwater strobe.

Works great with my nauticam housing for Sony NEX camera. Plugs right in. Also, ordered the Mask so I could hook it up to other housings that don't have the Sea & Sea connector.

Comments about Sea & Sea Fiber Optic Sync Cable L-Type:

This cable simply clicks into your pt-e series or pen series housing at one end and your ufl-2 strobe at the other.
With your camera in 'rc' mode, ttl control of the strobe is enabled and adjustments can be made from the back of the camera.
No need to make any adjustments on the strobe!
The best of it is that this item costs less than the olympus part but does exactly the same job.

This fiber optic cable is extremely secure and is a great addition to the Sea and Sea strobes that use this type of connection. I would highly recommend this cable for anyone that wants a perfect flash every time. It will sync with the camera and because it is fiber optic the timing is perfect. Don't pass this up
