The Sea & Sea Zoom Gear works as advertised with my Tokina 10-17mm lens and Sea & Sea RDX-550D housing. With just a little bit of trial & error, placement is easily attained so that the dial on the RDX-550D controls it nicely and the zoom goes in and out as desired.

You may be curious if it works for the newer 16-35 mm L II. It does fit. But be aware that the sea&sea chart shows the old lens not the new II. It shows as if the lens fits with only a dome port. You will need to get an extension like intermediate extension ring.
