Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
Pelican cases are by far the best product on the market to protect your equipment. They are tough, water proof, easy to move with the built in wheels and handle. I would not trust transporting my expensive electronics in any other case.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
The dimensions allow this to go by air as checked luggage. Dimensions for airline consideration are 18" x 24" x 32". This is a total of 74 linear inches -- this is technically oversize (United Airlines will accept items up to 115 linear inches, but charges an extra fee for anything over 62 linear inches), but at least it can accompany as checked luggage. I removed the extendable handle to save weight - this reduced the case weight by 4 pounds, which I needed to do to get my equipment plus case weight under 100 pounds (the limit that United will accept).

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
I purchased this case to protect my mobile studio. Everything I needed was able to fit. I was able to organize everything allowing me to travel without worrying about my equipment being secure. I was also able to add everything without the weight exceeding airport requirements. No extra charge for me :-) This case definitely offers peace of mind.

We own probably like 100 different Pelican cases. Love them. Super durable, I've always been able to find the right size, and the pick and pluck foam is very convenient.

A Very solid, well-built and sturdy case. The foam cut-outs are great, you can customize the case to your exact needs. It's not attractive, but gets the job done, well.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
Awesome case for what I purchased it for, with 3 levels of phone I can custom fit all my lighting gear and know it's protected for travel. The only downside to this case is it is fairly heavy even with nothing in it, which may cause a little extra expense in the airport, but never the less. Its worth it not having to worry about equipment getting messed up.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
Pelican cases have a hard core rep and after I got mine I can see why. Stable is an understatement. The pick your foam adventure is great to have snug secure gear. now instead of having four separate bags I have one case to take with me to shoots. There is so much room, I have ample room to expand and fit my future gears needs for years to come. That, and the security are more than worth the price.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
We needed a way to transport our new Sony HD XDcam worth more than $50K to our location shoots. This case is perfect. We were able to position the camera with plenty of foam protection plus, room for batteries and media. The exterior is tough. The handle is retractable and a little wobbly but I think it will hold up okay. Wheels good. Some weight to the case but confident it will bode well for protecting our investment. I recommend this case if you need a lot of space.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
Big case that's perfect for storing my tripod, lighting stands, camera bags, etc. Of course, if you take it with you on the airplane you'll get a $50 oversize fee (and another $50 if the weight is over 50lbs); but you won't have to worry about your gear getting crushed. As far as I can tell, all Pelican's claims re: the durability are true (and this is my 4th Pelican case).

I use the case for my audio package. It's roomy enough to fit everything I need for a "basic" set up and I can ship with no worries. Pelican is also a procdut I've used for years and I've always been happy with their performance.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
It's bulky and big, but does the job- my gear landed safely. The casters and the pull make it easy to move- I managed to get it in and out of airports without any trouble.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
We are using this case to ship two monitors and stands. Its very easy to handle for its size and very secure.
It would be great if it were 5 lbs lighter but Pelican is typically on the lower end of the weight:size ratio.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
I have 2 cameras with flashes and extra lenses. I needed something that was durable and easy on the back. I have been in the military and have used back pack stlye photobags in the past. This Case keeps my equipment safe from dust and severe conditions that can occur during assignemnts to inclement weather and high altitude. I have hurt my back and I rely on the ease of the handle with the wheels. I also like the many latches to secure your equipment. Two places to lock your case with padlocks. Laptop fits too.

Comments about Pelican 1630 Case with Foam (Black):
I have two uses for the case... 1) transporting my radio controlled airplane across the country(with the foam inserts fitted to the parts), and 2) carrying audio gear (cables, mics, laptop...) for a small band. The case is very heavy duty, and was made to take a beating. I love the solid feel of it, and how good it looks. The only thing I don't like is the weight. At 36lbs, it is quite massive, but that can be attributed to the strength it delivers. Then again, if you are using this case, weight is probably not as important as strength. When I put something in this case, I know that it will be in perfect condition when I open it.
