The Series 7 SL-50 is a powerful battery pack designed to work with the Series 7 system. This battery offers an LED readout and 50Wh of power.

- A four stage LED readout allows the user to see battery capacity. This is most compatible when using the Sony Infolithium system.

- The Series 7 system allows the SL-50 battery to work with adapters to power a variety of 7.2VDC equipment.

This product was amazing i bought this product 7 months ago, the life span was still the same until now. I order another two from B&H and also the charger. All in all, i have 6 of these batteries. The advantage on my part is that i can use it for my two cameras the HVR-HD1000U and my JVC GY-HD110U. Good quality, affordable price....

I purchased the Series 7 as an upgrade for a JVC GYHD100 camera, since the JVC supplied batteries were not rated well. An adaptor for the camera is supplied by Series 7 which works well. After the 1st day of usage, the battery shell literally separated, which meant a quick fix with superglue.
The second battery failed to hold a charge and needed to be replaced, which B & H quickly took care of. The charger only holds one battery, but does a fair job of quickly recharging. Average battery life is about 2 hours--not much more.

I must be doing something wrong becuase this battery has little life over my standard batteries for the JVC GYHD100...
Descriptions I read before purchasing the battery decribed it as lasting virtually all afternoon which I thought was a godsend, when in fact it only lasts about an hour and a half. Not sure it's worth the money.
Positive side: You can charge it on the JVC charger when adapter is attached.

I shoot largely professional short form online video for product demos and installations. I got 4 of these to use with my Sony HVR-HD1000U HDV Camcorder and routinely get about 6 hours of shooting per charge. Love the LED lights to get a sense of how much battery life you have left at a glance.

Couldn't believe the battery timer on my new Sony PD-170 when I charged this battery. This thing will run for a loonng time, glad I have two. The LED charge indicator on the side is a nice touch. Does add a bit of weight but nothing you can't handle.
