Walkstool is a unique company making an even more unique and extremely useful product. The Walkstool Comfort 65 XXL is born of fine Swedish engineering and provides a portable posterior platform - in other words, a seat for all occasions. Whereas a folding chair or stool is nothing new, this Walkstool's clever design makes it stand out from the rest. The two primary issues Walkstool's designers focused on were compact size and load strength and the final product reflects their careful engineering and dedication.
The primary benefit of the Walkstool is the prevention of back strain or fatigue while keeping a person elevated to a comfortable height. This is useful for sports, event, and press photographers who spend many hours on their feet, squatting or on their knees. It is also good for campers and other outdoor enthusiasts or simply anyone who needs a seat in a location where a comfortable chair may be hard to come by.
The Walkstool Comfort line features lightweight and ultra-portable stools with two height positions depending on whether the telescoping legs are extended or not. Transportation of these sub-two lbs stools is a breeze, as it collapses into a compact form that can be easily carried in a camera bag, backpack, or tool bag to be taken just about anywhere. The Comfort line improves on the Basic line with a larger seat, different size seat mesh material, and larger rubber feet to prevent the stool legs from getting stuck in the mud.
| Height Min/Max | 26" (65 cm) / 15" (37 cm) |

One of the best tools I walk around with effortlessly! This stool is worth ever penny of it's admittedly high price. I use this product and really beat it up with only the rubber feet wearing away, reasonably so since I use it on asphalt and concrete a lot. The horrible review this product received is absolutely unwarranted. Anyone I invite to sit on it is totally blown away by its comfort and light weight.

After receiving the Walkstool I attached it to my camera bag backpack via a bungee cord. As soon as I started my hike, the extension legs started sliding down (from the closed folded posistion) and started to hit me in the lages & backside. I removed my backpackpack and tried to lock the legs closed. No luck! the legs just won't stay closed when you carry the walkstool in the verticial position. You well have to place the stool the the carring bag to keep the legs for sliding open . This is a pain because everytime that you wan't to use th stool you well have to remove it form the carring bag .
This is a German designed product and someone was not thinking.
I have solved the problem by attaching the stool upside- down so the legs stay in place. Still poor design.

Perfect on level hard surfaces. If the ground slants you have to pay attention. It is better than standing for hours. It is usually comfortable. Very light weight. With just a little care it will not grab you like the TSA.

Comments about Walkstool Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool:
Spending lots of time in the field chasing wildlife or Surfers on the beach (sometimes they are one and the same), you really only have two options. Stand up or sit on your case, backpack, the ground basically whatever is around. The beauty of this stool is that it is light in weight yet good and sturdy. Sits high enough for you to be able to swing a long lens to where the action is or stand and move easily. The downfall of other chairs I have tried is they are heavy to cary to locations and tend to draw you into the chair making it a little slower to react.
The bonus of this product is it is very light. Downfall for the male shooters; you must be aware of where you are dresses in the gentelmanly manner as the chance of squashing something can be high.

Comments about Walkstool Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool:
Had mine for about a year now. Biggest use is for painting (landscapes, not walls) but also take it to live shows. Anypolace you have to walk around forb long enough that sitting down thoughts occupy your mind. 6'6", 280 pounds. Strong, very lightweight, super quick open/close. Carries in it's own shoulder bag and I can forget it's even there. Comfortable. I'm confident of its strength. Pricey but worth it. Flimsy stools offer no comfort or security to me. This is one of those products that is built right and delivers on its promises. Haven't tried it under the Volvo yet.

My husband took me to one of the largest Farm Shows, in Louisville, KY. I knew if we went he would tire easily and want to go quickly. So, a friend of ours had these, and I decided it was just what we needed. And, boy did it come in handy. Eating lunch there at the concessions stands, no place to sit. Not us, I just pulled out the walk stools and we could sit where ever we wanted and whenever we wanted.
Thanks to the people at Walkstool, you made our trip to the farmshow wonderful!
Sincerely, Lauriann Geiger

This stool has given me the ability to shoot from lower angels and has taken a great weight off of my knees. It has already made my shots more interesting by giving me another angle to shoot from.
Great for the knees and very sturdy.
No complaints so far.

Comments about Walkstool Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool:
This is great for those long waits for the bird to return to roost, especially in conjunction with my tripod and Wemberly. My only detraction is that it is fixed-height, not adjustable. The manufacturer claims you can use it without extending the legs, but the "footprint" is so small as to make it like riding a unicycle. Well built, sturdy, lightweight.

Very comfortable chair! I'm 300 Lbs and it held me without a sound nor buckle. I have back problems so having this available to me all the time is wounderful. And it's light enough to take with you all the time. It is expensive! But for me it's well worth it. And if you want a comfortable, light chair that you can take with you all the time, and if you have a back or knee problem then this is the chair for you! And in NYC it draws a lot of attention..

As a wildlife photographer I'm sometimes required to sit for hours at a time waiting for the right moment. I needed a stool that was light, yet strong enough to support my 255#'s.

Comments about Walkstool Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool:
I have looked for a stool like this for some time. One that was tall enough that you were not squatting when you sat down and strong enough not to bend. When I found this I thought it would be ideal. When I received the stool it looked impressive, well built and engineered. The first time I used it one of the legs bent enough that it will no longer retract. The specifications rate the stool for 550 lbs but my 195 was evidently too much. At nearly $100 after s&h I expected much more.
