Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
This is just what I needed to see how much charge my rechargeable batteries may have lost over time. Much more accurate than your typical "Green/Red" battery checker.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
Excellent battery tester. I use it mostly on alkaline and NiMH batteries of AA and 9V types.
We have a large number of rechargeable batteries in continuous used that get rotated through a charger. But sometimes we loose track of when and if a battery has been recharged. With this tool we get can find out quickly the state of the batteries.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
I purchased the mini battery tester for work. We have a large need for batteries for various electronic devices in our organization. After having so many people bring me their 'dead' batteries to replace with new, I decided the need for a battery tester could possibly save money over time, plus we wouldn't be needlessly disposing of batteries that may be okay for more use. Most of the time, one or two of the four batteries needed would be bad, the others fine. This is an amazing little unit, very compact, perfect for the office.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
I use a lot of typical household batteries, mostly AA and AAA NiMh and alkalines. The other [cheaper] battery testers I've tried didn't seem to be able to tell when a rechargeable battery was going bad or getting too old. The MINI-MBT9R seems to do the job-- it really did detect old batteries that read "good" on the other cheap meters.
The only con I can say is that it requires 4 AAA batteries. It's also a little pricier than a lot of the other testers, but the MINI-MBT9R is a solid, well-built product and seems to perform a much better test.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
as a wedding photographer using Nikon SB-900, i must check all my AA batteries a day before the wedding day or any photo session, even while using a "Quantum Turbo SC battery Pack" you need to put 4 AA batteries inside your SB-900, because if you have any single fake battery in your set that will make you going mad to see it full of charge but suddenly lose it ... why?? simly because it doean't accept it
so you have to check all your batteries with this GREAT small tester (MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R')
Really i love its small size & how it works
you can put it easily in your gear bag.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
This is the second ZTS tester which I've given as a gift. I have the larger version. It's the best tester I've seen. Unlike volt meters or simple testers this one simulates a load while measuring current, thereby giving a much better estimate of remaining power. I don't know of any other tester which does this. It's very easy to use. There is nothing about it which I don't like.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
The Mini-MBT9R lets you know exactly what's going on with your common rechargeable batteries, as well as with suspect alkaline batteries.
I have dozens of Pearstone AAs from B&H and have found they do not store that well, losing charge over time, even when stored in a plastic case precluding any "circuit" issues relative to drain.
Putting a two-thirds dead battery into a camera or other device is not wise, and the Mini-MBT95 prevents such mistakes.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
ZTS makes AMAZING battery testers. Every production house MUST have one (or two). It makes it easy to sort batteries by life for different uses. Since many performance uses require the dependability of brand new batteries, but don't drain them completely, we have an abundance of used batteries on hand. This tester tells us which ones to use for rehearsals, which to take home for general use, and which to dispose. MUCH better than a voltmeter.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
I had a bunch of AA NiMH that were no longer working with my 15 minute rapid chargers, so I stopped using them. When I tested them with this unit, about half were dead, but half still had some life left (some 60%, some 40%, some 20%)... So I found that by using a "slow charger" (the kind that takes 8 hours or more to charge the batteries), the batteries still work. Would never have bothered if I didn't test them with this product first.

Comments about ZTS MINI-MBT9R Mini '9R' Multi-Battery Tester:
Gives reliable indication of the remaining level of usable life of a battery. Especially useful in determining state of charge on NiMH batteries for field use. Also is useful after charging to determine useful life of charge. I have found that recharged batteries loose charge while setting. You can't assumed fully useable batteries in the field without this device.
