Comments about Manfrotto 190XV View Aluminum Tripod (Green):

This is a generally stable and reliable tripod. I've been using it for several weeks on dirt, uneven rocks, and similar. The feet hold it well and set up and collapse are straightforward and quick.

The tripod is normally stable, but slightly unstable in high winds with a heavy camera, and the hook for adding weight is too small for a camera bag strap and off-center as well, which is the only real negative I found.

The green color is nice, but very subtle, and not incorporated in the extended legs, so when set up the tripod is mostly black, and the green parts don't really look green. It's probably not worth the extra money to get this one as opposed to the normal black version.

This tripod purchase was an upgrade from complete Monfrotto tripod I already owned. This one is much stronger, more versatile, and easier to use. Very well made, quick release legs work flawlessly, and I like the color for shooting wildlife.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XV View Aluminum Tripod (Green):

This is my first "real" tripod and I love it. Works well for my Cannon 2Ti and lenses up to f4/200. Worked well for my hikes in the Alps and was steady in many unusual angles I used it in. Also was impressed with stability when center column is extended as I am 6'2" and hate to bend down if dont have too. Quick and easy to set-up and take down. Weight for this size is good for a non carbon fiber, used a spare camera bag strap to carry and had no problems in the mountains. Love the green accent on this model too!

Comments about Manfrotto 190XV View Aluminum Tripod (Green):

I really liked the look and weight of this tripod (I am a long time user of the black version Bogan 3001). I personally really like the clip legs over the twist Gitzo tripods (I own one as well). I was surprised to find that this (XV) 'wilderness' tripod only goes low by inverting the middle column. I would personally recommend the 190XB with its low level adaptor or for $100 more the carbon fiber Manfrotto alternative (CX3) with the adaptor.

[...] I sent it back and got this tripod with the 3 way pan tilt head. It was less than twice as much, and is ten times the quality. I'm very impressed by Bogen products. I have a monopod and table top tripod as well and they're both awesome. I actually kept finding things as I set up the tripod that I didn't even think about that were nice user frlendly things Bogen had included - they must really think of the user when they design their products.
