Comments about Manfrotto 190XB Tripod with 496RC2 Ball Head Kit:

I use this tripod for my EOS 7D. It is very sturdy and holds the camera firmly. The only downside to this tripod is the weight. Slightly heavy when carrying around. For the money, you can't beat this set up though.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XB Tripod with 496RC2 Ball Head Kit:

First off let me begin by saying that I'm a beginner to the world of Dslr photography. With that being said I spent about two months pouring over forums and websites trying to find something that would fit into my kit. This setup was perfect.

I'm about 5'9 and this kit with my camera attached is almost at eye level, yet it has the capability to lay flat on the ground for those close up shots as well.

I was worried that the ballhead might be too small, but once out of the box I knew it would be great. Construction of both the tripod and the ballhead are spot on, not to mention a great price for such a great set. FYI I've been using a D3000 w/ a 50-200 VR and an external flash with no sagging issues. The friction control nob allows me to kepp it where I want it.

I've been using the kit regularly for about three weeks now and I'm very stisfied with the purchase. Highly recommended for the beginner or intermediate user who can't afford carbon fiber!!

Comments about Manfrotto 190XB Tripod with 496RC2 Ball Head Kit:

I have a D60 with an Tamron 18-270, so the setup is not light, but not super heavy either. There is no creep at all. The legs stay where they are put and the overall design of the head is nice also.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XB Tripod with 496RC2 Ball Head Kit:

I was looking for a great solid tripod that would last me a long while. I have had this tripod for about a year now and it is still going strong. I was looking for something compact and light but sturdy. This isn't the most compact tripod (I cant fit it in my backpack) but I have seen ones that are far bigger, less sturdy, and heavy as heck. I think this is the best bang for the buck.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XB Tripod with 496RC2 Ball Head Kit:

i know what your thinking. i could buy a similar product for cheaper, but have the feeling of regret later. quality has its price, and so does satisfaction.
this tripod and ballhead was recommended in a book by scott kelby, and after using i know why. simple to use doesnt feel flimsy like friends modestly priced tripod.
