These are great for sharing at football games because we don't have to keep adjusting them.

Comments about Bushnell 4x30 Xtra-Wide Binocular:
The ability to pick up things quickly without having to spend time moving the binoculars around until it is in the viewfinder is a real plus for wide angle lenses. The lower power isw no disadvantage and is great for viewing from a moving platform. I would like to see individual lense focusing in the future, the extra cost would be well worth it.

Comments about Bushnell 4x30 Xtra-Wide Binocular:
I've only used these for viewing indoor concerts. The wide field of vision is great for this purpose... probably not so great if you want to bird watch. 4X is plenty strong because remember, it magnifies your hands' natural shake, too. The unit is not like the compact binoculars on the market, it wouldn't fit in your pocket. However, it easily fits in a purse. Lastly, the rubber eye cups are comfortable with or without glasses. -I didn't give 5 stars only because I think they are a tad overpriced.

Excellent field of view- best available. The focus- free is convenient and the eyecups block out all outside light. Very comfortable grip.

Comments about Bushnell 4x30 Xtra-Wide Binocular:
Great for the theater/opera/ballet, perfect magnification level. At 4th tier level, I can both see the entire stage and full facial expressions. Get the benefit of cheap seats and overhead dance formations, with front orchestra level details. Extremely clear and bright images. Comes with neck strap and padded carrying case.
Draw backs: bulky(for opera glasses), lack of eye focus makes it nearly impossible to get full field view while wearing glasses. Folding back the eye-cups help, but then the lenses rub on the glasses and can destroy the Anti-reflective coating.

I use these binoculars for going to the symphony, ballet, and opera. They are great "seat upgrades". You are put right on stage with the performers. Ease of use; no fiddling with focus, comfort, and simplicity.

An article in the local Syracuse newspaper by a young man stated that these binoculars were one of the top ten things that changed his life this year. I thought that sounded a little far fetched but guess what...these are amazing. Terrific for sporting events or just checking out the moon. Comes with a nice case with straps too. For the guy who has everything.

Comments about Bushnell 4x30 Xtra-Wide Binocular:
I have used the binoculars to watch a football game in a dome from row 16 at about the 10 yard line.
When the ball was around the other 10 yard line, I was able to see almost the entire width of the field through the binoculars.
The binoculars have no focusing mechanism and no diopter adjustment for the right eye, so your eyesight has to be perfect in order to use them. For me, that means folding back the rubber eyepieces and pressing the oculars against my glasses. That worked out really well, because I didn't have to put my glasses on when the play was closer and take them off when using the binoculars.
The down side is that there is no relief, so you really have to press the oculars against your glasses. If this weren't the case, I probably would have given the binoculars a rating of 5.

Comments about Bushnell 4x30 Xtra-Wide Binocular:
Super high quality lens and the extra wide angle means you never miss the action. I am a season ticket holder for the University of Hawaii football and basketball teams and have enjoyed the games much more since I got these binoculars (actually they replace the same model I had stolen). Great buy and best price anywhere.
