Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Permafocus Binocular:

I'll start out with saying these are great for quick panning and for distances from 30 yards or more. They are not 100% in focus but still offer a nice view. When panning around you will find anything within 30 yards will be blury but these are nice for anything over 30yards. I like them.

Bushnell does not give you lens caps or eye covers with this one?? HMM??

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Permafocus Binocular:

Basic carry along binocs, easy to use one handed. I had shouder surgery and could reach up with a second hand to focus. When I saw the auto focus feature, I thought cool. Entry level product, but you almost always want another pair with more power, and if two people want to see the same thing at the same time of course. Try 'em, for the price, a good value. Don't have kids, but I think would be very easy for children to use.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Permafocus Binocular:

The binoculars don't focus well at closer distances. They are great for long distances.
They are pretty powerful and the width of the viewing is rather restrictive.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Permafocus Binocular:

The permafocus feature is amazing. I still don't understand how it works but it does. The only downside is that if you have something in the foreground view that you don't want to look at it takes a bit of practice to train your eyes to focus on the items further away but it does work.

The optics are very good for a unit in this price category but don't expect the same razor sharp image you'd see on a $2,000 unit. But it IS very good. For the money, this is a great product. Well-made; high-quality rubber casing; easy to use.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Permafocus Binocular:

While traveling on a fast moving river cruise boat on the Danube last week, the instant focus attribute of these Binoculars was fantastic. You could actually study the objective you were viewing, while other participants were sill focusing.
You look thru the glass and bam there it is. A sell worth investment for objectives that ten to be ephemeral in nature eg, wildlife and other moving entities. Best use for objects at leas 75-100 feet away.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Permafocus Binocular:

After trying a friend's permafocus binoculars, I had to have a pair of my own. Since then I have purchased 3 more pairs for gifts. How many times have you missed that split-second chance to get a look at a bird or a deer because you couldn't focus fast enough? Not an issue with permafocus, just look-and-see! I am certain that I will buy more in the future. Kudos to B&H for best-prices [...]!
