Comments about Celestron Ultima-LX 5mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25" & 2"):
This is my first quality eyepiece and I'm really loving it. Using it on a 150mm Skywatcher telescope and it really does a great job, easy to use and very clear. It is much larger than the cheap eyepieces I have been using so I'm glad my telescope has heavy counterweights already.

Comments about Celestron Ultima-LX 5mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25" & 2"):
Good FOV with an excellent ergonomic desing. Good optics allow for almost no focusing when changing powers. On the other hand this eyepiece is very bulky and heavy; I have a Celestron Astromaster 130 EQMD and I was forced to modified the eyepiece 2" mount to accept the securing screws on the telescope's eyepiece holder. I fundamental engineering flaw, considering both products are made by Celestron; which makes the eyepiece very cumbersome to install and remove.

Comments about Celestron Ultima-LX 5mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25" & 2"):
I purchased the 5mm Ultima LX from B&H for use on my 5 inch reflector after suffering with a 4mm plossl eyepiece for months. This eyepiece is amazing, well worth its weight in gold. Excellent views of Venus yesterday, picks up any surrounding stars and delivers very sharp wide images. Mounts easily in a 1.25" focuser. A must for the budget minded amateur astronomer.
