Comments about Celestron Ultima-LX 17mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25 & 2"):
Again a very heavy eyepiece and it is imperative that you fasten this to your visual back VERY tightly, as only 1 screw fits on my 1.25" star diagonal and the eyepiece did fall out once when the scope was slewing. It still works 100% so that tells you something about the strong build construction. Nice wide FOV makes this a frequently used eyepiece.

Comments about Celestron Ultima-LX 17mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25 & 2"):
I bought it for planetary observation together with a 2" SCT adapter and Tele Vue everbrite dielectrics star diagonal. Installed all on a CPC800 scope. The view of Jupiter and the moons is crispy clear. This eyepiece is a must have, I was very happy with its grip, design, stability and the optics. Will consider purchasing different focal length eyepieces sticking with the Ultima LX line. Just one advice, depending on the type of your telescope, adding anymore weight than the eyepiece, considering installing counter-weights on the scope.

Comments about Celestron Ultima-LX 17mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25 & 2"):
I'm new to astronomy, but the Celestron Ultima eyepieces are the best I've yet to use. I have a Celestron CPC 800 GPS Scope, which has a 2" star diagonal, but I also have accessories that use 1.25 fittings, the flexiblity of these eyepieces for both 2" and 1.25" is very handy. The eyepieces focus easily (I bought a 13mm eyepiece at the same time0, have easily screw ajustible eye relief, and are substantial products for the price. [...]
