I bought this to use with my Macbook so I could join two wireless networks at the same time. The great things about it is that you can use it with Windows, Mac or Linux. Works without a flaw for hours and has a better reception than my macbook's own airport card.
I get 54Mbps every time I connect to a network with such speed and good signal.
Special "Cons" for Mac users: Mac drivers provided by Realtek lacks the capability to allow Mac OS X to recognize the dongle as a wireless card, thus requiring the use of Realtek's client software.

Comments about Trendnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter:
Purchased 2 of these, both are working with no problems. The first is on a Win XP desktop machine which required drivers installed from the CD. The adapter communicates with a router on the floor below. The second is on a Win 7 desktop, the CD was not needed. Great price, no hassle.

Comments about Trendnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter:
I use this for an older desktop computer running Windows XP. It was very easy to install, and there is almost nothing to configure beyond the WEP key for the router. I shut down the computer at night, and remove the adapter. If I start up the computer with the adapter plugged in, my computer does not recognize the adapter - I would have to unplug and replug for it to work.

I ordered this adapter and received it in 4 days. Plugged it in to my computer on 2ND floor of my house, popped in the setup disk and in 5 minutes I had an excellent signal from my router on the first floor.I have had it for 3 weeks and use it everyday. No problems and [...] it can't be beat.

I didn't want to pay $30 for a dongle for my Viewsonic media player. Argosy, which is an upside mirror of the Viewsonic suggested this Trendnet model. It was on sale at a great price at B&H, and when it arrived, I plugged it in the USB port on the Viewsonic and it worked perfectly. So far I haven't found any faults.

The software was very easy to install...I was honestly surprised that it worked on a 4-5 year old Dell(Windows XP Home Edition, 2002 version) that was collecting dust...It picked up 4 Networks very quickly...I have not had any problems with it, I get a 4-5 on my bar...WOW!!!

Comments about Trendnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter:
My main PC's ethernet connection was all screwed up but our wifi was still somehow working. I was too lazy to find a way to fix it so I figured that a wifi usb adapter would do the trick. And now I'm writing this using that wifi connection.
It comes with a cd and you have to install some things, but that's all it takes. You can use this on different devices if you want and it connects instantly to your wifi. Best of all, it's not that expensive at all.

Comments about Trendnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter:
The wireless card on our 6 year old PC was failing and I found this handy USB number on the B&H website. Plugged it in, installed it, and we were up and running. It's even faster than the old wireless that was built into the computer. For [$] including shipping, you can't go wrong. Occasionally you have to unplug and replug it in to make it work but it's a small inconvenience for the price.

Comments about Trendnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter:
This adapter cost much less than it would have to have tried wiring a direct line upstairs. Because it's not too big, I don't have any trouble plugging it into the back of my computer where it's out of sight. As far as the internet connection speed, it's pretty much the same as the direct connection downstairs.
I do have quite a bit of difficulty connecting to the other computer on my network, but I think that's due to the router, not this product.

Comments about Trendnet 54 Mbps 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter:
Bought 2 units for 2 desktop computers about 30 feet from main DSL Internet computer - one is upstairs and one downstairs; DSL is downstairs. Installed in minutes. No noticeable difference from running straight DSL, even when DSL and both wireless units uploading/downloading simultaneously.
Excellent product, and you don't have to be computer savvy to get it to work, or spend a lot of money to be satisfied.
