The Dot Line Extended Stealth Flash Bracket is a rotating flash bracket that has been designed to fit very snug to the camera, allowing the photographer to operate the camera as though there were no bracket attached. This makes it easy to keep the camera attached to the bracket at all times. This Extended version of the Stealth bracket adds another inch to the height of the bracket, which allows it to be also used with cameras that have a battery booster/vertical grip added to them.

Flash brackets are designed to increase the distance between the flash head and the lens in order to minimize the occurrence of redeye and to also reduce flash-shadows behind the subject. The pivoting flash arm keeps the flash positioned over the lens in both horizontal and vertical position.

In addition, this kit comes supplied with the necessary off-camera flash cord, which maintains all E-TTL II functions of Canon EOS cameras.

Comments about RPS Lighting Extended Stealth Flash Bracket with Off-Camera Cord for Canon EOS:

i bought this once from another establishment and it lasted a few months. I use it to photograph parades etc in nyc and walk with the flash attached to my bracket quite often. The weight of the flash is too much for the flimsy joint construction which breaks after a while. The company i bought it from replaced it with the same model when i complained (i wanted to upgrade or store credit but they refused due to the return policy being over due) The new one just broke on me yesterday. I got six months use out of this one. Spend your money once and get something better. This is junk.

Comments about RPS Lighting Extended Stealth Flash Bracket with Off-Camera Cord for Canon EOS:

I like this bracket because it's easy to use and you can flip it over quickly for portrait shots. My only complaint is the bracket part sticks to the side of your camera where you push the button to shoot so it can irritate the side of your hand after shooting for for a while. It takes some getting used to and can be uncomfortable to hold the camera. It's also heavy and can pack on some weight to your camera. But it does its job for the price so I'm keeping it.

Comments about RPS Lighting Extended Stealth Flash Bracket with Off-Camera Cord for Canon EOS:

Excitedly ordered this product as a value priced flash bracket, since it included an ETTL cable compatible with my Canon components. Unfortunately, I attempted to use this bracket with an 580ex2, and it just can't support that amount of weight. Would be idea for a much smaller flash(don't know if the 430 would be light enough, since its still a 4 AA battery flash).

The cable worked admirably, and I would recommend it for photographers with a small setup; however people looking to mount a professional sized flash or looking for a bracket that could take extended use might want to look elsewhere.

The product was easy to use and worked well on its first assignment,a wedding. The locking bracket made it easier to adjust for vertical shots. Others that I have used had screws that had to be loosen and tighten between each angle change. It is also light weight so less strain on your wrist when you have to use other camera attachements.

I used this for sports photography. Not too impressive, still makes for a floppy flash mount. It did however, get the job done. I'd only recommend this for small remote jobs. After looking at many online, I thought this one would best suit my needs. It left me disappointed.

I like the bracket; it's compact and does the job quickly. I share the concern that you can't mount it to a tripod - (how does one normally mount a flash bracket?). Secondly, you should know that the flash arm is twisted slightly, to give a downward angle to the flash. I'd say it's set up for a shot less than 10 feet. Finally, the cord needs to be cleaned each time its used - I'm thinking of buying an authentic Canon cord.
Overall however, for my first bracket, it' worth a look.

A reasonable unit appearing well made and easy to use but with a key element missing - it cannot be mounted on a tripod! The unit is OK for hand held work but I need to switch back and forth between snapshots and posed pictures. Not practical with this unit.
