I was happy to find that they still make these mounts after a few of mine were damaged during a flight. They are well made and serve their purpose, just make sure you are choosing the correct mount for your light.

This part keeps the lights on, so to speak. It is necessary to replace often because it receives a lot of stress in the drawing studio.
I wish it could withstand all the abuse it gets but I think that is an impossible dream.

Had a relative who over-torqued the adjustment thumbscrew on the original, and split the mount. Fortunately, SV designed the overall lamp to have appropriate replacement parts. Turn of one screw to take it off, move the new piece in, turn the same screw back the other way. DONE!

I bought this mount because the original one cracked when I tightened it onto a metal light stand. I would have preferred that the original mount had been more durable but I'm glad I was able to obtain a replacement.
