The AmpliVox S610A Half-Mile Hailer Megaphone packs a whopping punch with 50 Watts of power and a Multimedia Amplifier with separate tone and volume for line in. This model features a coil-corded dynamic handheld mic, but you can use all three mic inputs simultaneously.
The auxiliary input jack can be used if you want to incorporate a CD player, tape player or computer sound system. Nothing captures an audience's attention like a mixed media presentation.
And if you're looking for long term use then the S610A is your tool. With 10 D-cell batteries you get an amazing 200 hours of talk time!

Have been using the S610A for many years for road races, cross country meets and award ceremonies. You can't beat it for performance. Uses "D" sized batteries which last for a reasonable amount of time. If you stand within line of the speaker, you'll have absolutely no trouble hearing. Works comparable to a good fixed PA system. Add a couple of more speakers and the coverage area is unbeatable. My only complaint is that it is heavier and more bulky than a bull horn due to the weight of the 10 or 12 "D" batteries. Rechargeable "D" batteries are sometimes lighter and give another powering option. The S610A will blow the doors off any other single speaker portable PA system.

During election time at the poles, in GUAM, every one has his own Generated, electric, vehicle mounted Megaphone blasting in your face, with the S610A it is so loud that it beats the competion especially with the microphone and music on. As a matter of fact we plan to order 19 more for all of our district to have.
