The Billingham 335 Shoulder Bag in khaki with tan leather trim is designed to carry 2 digital SLR cameras with 3 lenses and accessories. The case is constructed from soft-weave fabric which helps eliminate abrasions, combined with Stormblocker dual-laminate waterproof canvas. It features a heavy-duty, closed cell foam padded interior and a double-laminated, removable hard bottom. It also has Superflex 8-15 and 9-18 partitions for separating and organizing the interior.

The 335 bag has 4 interior slip pockets that are located between the main inner compartment and the exterior, along with 2 large front exterior pockets and 2 pen pockets on the front. An interior grab handle allows the photographer to carry the bag with the protective cover flap open, and a leather grab handle snaps together securely for another carrying option. Additionally, there is a Delta Sling shoulder strap with a heavy-duty, neoprene-backed leather shoulder pad.

    Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

I bought this bag for times when a 2nd camera is needed or I want to bring 3 lenses. It will hold quite a bit of gear. I use it to store or transport a 5D MKlll with a 24-70 2.8 attached with hood reversed, a 70-200 2.8, no hood and a 16-35 2.8, hood stored in an outer pocket. A light meter and a 600 ex RT fit nicely in the smaller compartments of the 8-15 & 9-18 Superflexes. Plenty of room for a Lee filter holder, adaptor rings, CPL, remote trigger, batteries and lens pen in the front pockets. GNDs and NDs are in a Lee 3 filter holder pouch in the space where an iPad fits.
By removing one of the Superflexes, I can also carry a Sony A7R with a 55mm or the 24-70 attached.

I'm petite and I find the bag too heavy to shoot out of with the above equipment, but this may not be an issue for others. The bag sticks out quite far from the body when carrying it.

This is my second Billingham bag. I have the Hadley Small for my Sony A7R.
Both are beautiful bags and each fit my different needs.

    Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

I bought the 335 in October of 2008 and as I plan upgrades to my camera gear, perhaps now is a good time to share how well this bag has worked.

I am often on the move with the camera and the bag is constantly in motion. After years of this, the bag's surface shows slight wearing. No doubt, the canvas product is up to the task. The clearcoat on the zipper pulls is beginning to wear off though the zipper action remains like new. I wanted a bag that protected a camera body stored horizontally and for safer placement in an overhead airline compartment. An unfortunate experience with a backpack style camera bag proved so with airline tavel. The 335 is the right size and will protect your gear should a less thoughtful person force carry-on luggage into the same overhead space.

The bag does well with a Nikon D2x body and 24mm - 70mm lens, attached with hood inverted. I also carry a 12mm - 24mm and 14mm for architectual work. And as others have noted, the interior dividers are too tight for 77mm diameter lenses. Not a major issue with some modification to the dividers. Beyond the larger items, there is plenty of available room for batteries, additional lens hoods and cleaning materials. Space is still available in the forward compartment for future items.

I'll select another Billingham bag for the next camera upgrade. I am considring a larger bag but the 335 moves very well through the airport as well as on your shoulder in a tight crowd. The bag is also very professional looking without the typical camera bag appearance.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

Well made and looks great. It would have been much better if it was a tad bigger or maybe I should have gone with larger model.
I use it with D-800 and 24-70mm, 70-200mm f2.8 and fisheye and Mirco. Also RODE mic.
I also bougth the optional strap for Tri-pod, frankly not sure if I could even use the straps.

      Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

This is my 2nd Billingham, this one didn't let me down. Its the styling and overall quality that got me to buy the first one and when I wanted something bigger it was a no brainer to buy another Billinham. I use the 335 for my Nikon D4 which easily fits in the bag along with 3-4 lenses and other items, there is lots of space in this bag. My iPad fits nicely as well in an outside pocket that is easy to get at while on a flight, the bag fits well under the seat too! My only gripe is the number of things that need to be done to get into the bag, the straps need to be broken in a bit more to make it easier or just leave it open while walking around to have better access. This alone would not prevent me from giving it a 5, its all worth it because there is no better looking and functional bag out there, pricey but you get what you pay for every time.

Yes, this bag costs a lot. However, it is very worth it. It fits my Canon 5D Mark II w/ 24-70 attached and an additional lens can be carried along with it. Compartments are nicely designed as well. Look wise, it is very attractive. I definitely recommend this bag over any others in market to anyone!

Yes the bag cost a lot but think of all the money you spent for the items in it. You want everything to be secure and safe, and this bag does just that. Has plenty of space for everything you need with you for a shoot (even can squeeze a 11" macbook air). The only knock is that the tripod strap is sold separately.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

I purchased this Billingham bag to carry/store my Nikon D800 (not yet shipped) along with the Holy Trinity of lenses; 14-24, 24-70, 70-200; 910 Flash; and assorted other odds and ends. Although I have not received the camera yet, the bag appears to be a bit tight for this array of gear. I will have to wait for the camera arrival to see if it is of adequate size or if I need to get a size larger.

The bag is well constructed of first class materials and is said to be water resistant. There ae numerous pockets front and back well as several padded lens inserts. The inserts would probably work best for prime lenses.

The bag has both carry handle and shoulder strap. The carry handle can be used with or without the rain flap in place. The rain flap is not detachable. Similarly, the shoulder strap is not detachable.

Pros: Quality materials and construction, style, appearance.
Cons: Non-detachable shoulder strap, minimal padded insert configurations, non-detachable rain flap.

              Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

Great bag and great quality, no doubt of this. The only reason for the four star rating instead of five star is I felt that when using the hand strap in lieu of the shoulder strap it would be more convenient to actually detach the shoulder strap to get it out of the way instead of having to tuck it inside the bag. Closer look at the photos would have revealed this... my fault, but other than that this is a great bag. Went with the 335 instead of model 225 for the size to accommodate more gear. Make sure all your travel gear will fit because the 225 is significantly smaller.

                Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

I like the size of this bag for traveling. In addition, it is surprisingly light weight. If you can travel with a full size camera body, a couple of lenses, an attachable flash, an iPad size computer, as well as all the necessary chargers, batteries and cables, this is a compact, easy to carry option you probably would enjoy.

I use this Billingham bag when i don't want to have too much gear on me.
This Bag is very well made. It will certainly hold a long time. I also like the look of it.
You can throw a lot of gear in this bag, but dont forget you have to wear it on your shoulder.
If you want to wear the bag on the other shoulder (not the shoulder where the bag hangs), the bag do not fall right.
Great Bag for not too heavy gear.

                  Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

The 335 is very well made, roomy and, although fairly heavy, great to carry on your shoulder. It easily accommodates a full size DSLR with a mid size zoom attached, 2 other large lenses plus a speedlite, remote etc. etc. You can even carry a laptop or tablet as well. It's idea to use as a cabin luggage bag as you can easily fit your magazines, books, mobile and any thing else you might require on the plane.

You may however also want to look at their 307 model before buying. My one criticism (hence only 4 stars) is that to access the main compartment the carry handle grip (at the top), the two very stiff catches on the front (I'm sure they will loosen up over time), the main zipper all have to be undone and then you have tuck in the zipped sides protect your gear from being scratched as you remove it. All very time consuming which could mean you miss that spontaneous shot.

                      Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag:

Finally! I have a bag that holds everything I need! This bag easily holds the body, a 50mm lens, a 35 mm lens, 60mm lens, nikon sb900 flash. Room left over for netbook or ipad. Good plane carry-on bag; fits under the seat in front of me. I've carried it on several trips already. Fantastic bag.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Black Leather Trim):

I have, like most been looking for the ideal travel bag or some time. During this process I have found myself owning all sorts of back packs, shoulder bags and vests. Originally I discounted Billingham as being too over the top and too expensive for my needs but I was wrong. I found that all of my bags were either too big padded and clumsy or too skimpy for an extended trip. This bag is great. It provides an amazing amount of storage for its size and my Nikon D2xs with 17-55 and 80-400, flash and other accessories fit well with plenty of room to spare. My primary focus is travel and this is the carry-on bag that holds my camera gear and travel docs easily. I will never leave on a trip again without this bag and my trusty Domke vest.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

This bag exceeded my expectations. It's extremely well made, it protects all of my equipment, and on top of all that, it looks better than any other camera bag I've ever had or have even seen before.

I was just on a trip where I managed to pack: a 5D camera with 24-70mm lens attached, 28mm lens, 50mm 1.8, 50mm 1.2, lens, 100mm lens (all lenses had lens hoods), a flash, charger for flash batteries, charger for 5D battery, my 13 inch Macbook, Macbook charger, memory cards and readers, and still had room to spare for some more accessories. Yes, the bag was heavy, but it's designed to distribute the weight well so it wasn't all that bad for just carrying through an airport. I can imagine carrying it all day might be a completely different story.

I love this bag so much that I am going to purchase a smaller Billingham for shooting and for trips I know I won't need all that equipment.

One thing you should know is that the shoulder pad IS included when you buy this bag! I bought one thinking it wasn't!

This bag is definitely worth the price, I will have it for life.
