The Yamaha STAGEPAS 500 is a moderately priced portable P.A. system for club-date, lecture and presentation use. The system consists of two passive speakers, each with a 10" LF driver and a 1" horn tweeter, and a 10-channel stereo mixer powered by 500W of amplification, 250W per side.

The STAGEPAS 500 mixer conveniently mounts in the rear panel of one of the speakers, and may be removed for remote use. The other speaker contains a storage compartment accessed by removing the rear panel enabling quick setup, breakdown, and simplified transportation.

The STAGEPAS 500 mixer, which may be mounted to a microphone stand, features a 1-bit master internal reverb, assignable to each of the 4 mic/line inputs, individual 2-band EQs for all input channels, and individual channel volume knobs, with separate Master and Monitor volume controls.

The STAGEPAS 500 is a versatile, lightweight and good-sounding solution for performance, lecture, and smaller event P.A. requirements.

Comments about Yamaha STAGEPAS 500 - Portable P.A. System:

I bought this for a team that goes out and does retreats for 20-100 kids at a time. I need sound systems that are have quality, portability, and are simple, but not gimmicks. I'm impressed with the Stagepas because it's so simple to use, but still has some features (simple gain and channel EQs). If you are anything of a sound geek - it's not for you, but for someone who wants something simple. This is it. One con is that the 1/4" speaker cables are pretty low quality - but they're easy to replace (and you may want to get longer ones anyway).
