Comments about Rycote S-Series 375 Windshield Kit:
I put this kit on my Rycote Carbon boom and it worked well for dialog recording.
I did find the mic clips to look like they may break with more use and they seem to unclip easy so replacing them will be no problem.
Just watch out you don't jam the mic cable when you lock it back up after putting the mic in place.

Comments about Rycote S-Series 375 Windshield Kit:
The S-SERIES Windshield / SUSPENSION KIT 375 is a single word, fabulous. And it is because it fulfills its purpose without mincing words: protection from wind and noise by manipulation. The effect is immediate. The way that bypasses the wind is just great.
I bought this system with Sennheiser microphones to make my visual works without having to constantly be renting a good suspension system and protection. As my work are usually always very changeable weather external and unexpected gusts of wind, a system like this I was indispensable. And what if it complies perfectly.
But I see a small flaw: the dead cat that comes embedded factory, wonderful, yes, easily plucked, it leaves hairs everywhere. I just hope it is not completely plucked early. The other slight drawback (maybe just be my imagination) is that although "anchoring system" of the two parts of the zeppelin is good in the sense of design, I think not so much in the sense of the real operation: it requires practice perhaps harder than desired to close and open, and gives one the feeling that I can break it at any time, I hope not, of course.
My final note is that perfectly fulfills its mission: to hold the microphone with solvency and preserve the sound of the worst and most immediate external harshness: the wind, be it weak or strong. My Sennheiser mics are in good hands.

Comments about Rycote S-Series 375 Windshield Kit:
The Rycote S-Series 375 Windshield Kit is a must for any film maker or sound guy.
I have been shooting a super guerilla no budget feature film in the wild deserts of New Mexico. One of the first days of filming we experienced wind that my shot gun mic and wind screen couldn't handle. I immediately jumped online and searched around for a blimp style system for my sound guy.
The S-Series suspension/windscreen system is top notch. The blimp is two sections that click together. It is simple to build and perfect for canceling pesky wind noise. I happily watched my sound guy record sound for one of our scenes with a look of total bliss on his face while the wind whipped around our set. I truly wish I had purchased this item sooner into the shoot.
One of the best aspects to this item is that the blip is mounted on a pistol grip which screws onto standard boom poles. The pistol grip has proven to be extremely useful in tight quarters such as a car, where a pole is not usable.
The S-Series blimp comes in a case that is easily reusable for storage until you can get a nice foam weather tight case.
Over all I give this item five stars. The suspension system works flawlessly. Wind noise is cut to almost nothing (and lets face it, if you are recording sound in a tornado the least of your worries should be sound). The pistol grip adds many ways to use the system.
Thanks Rycote.
