This solved my problem with my outdoor recording. B&H is great no matter what I need for camera or my video camera they have what I need. I definetely recommend the microphone cover.

Comments about Rycote Mini Windjammer:
I tested the Windjammer on my Cannon DM-50
mike out in a windy day and found it to make a
big improvement. Instead of hearing the
rumble of wind hitting the microphone, I
could hear the sound of the wind rustling
around the houses. This is a more natural
effect and saves the sound track on your movie
on those windy days. It is a little tight
getting on over the DM-50 foam. I removed
the foam and the Windjammer was easier to
install and performance did not worsen
noticably.

Comments about Rycote Mini Windjammer:
I used this to film a documentary of three teams doing the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo Mountain bike race - just outside Tucson. The wind started to pick up at 4 in the afternoon and it waw not noticed in any footage - small, but works!

Comments about Rycote Mini Windjammer:
I bought this dead cat at the same time I bought the DM-50, about two weeks ago. I've been shooting in windy vineyard environments, with winds up to 20 miles an hour, and the Mini Windhammer completely stops the noise.
It fits really snugly onto the mic with the stock foam cover in place. A little bit of a pain to slip on the first time, but I've been leaving it on all the time and it doesn't interfere with the audio during indoor use. If you shoot outdoors with a Canon DM-50 mic and want clean, professional sound, this thing is great. I'd say this is an essential accessory for the DM-50.

Comments about Rycote Mini Windjammer:
I'd rate it 5 but it sheds too much which is a danger of the bits fallng into moving parts of my video camera. Otherwise, works like it should. Bit pricey for what it is really but better than having no sound protection
It sure is a conversation piece by its appearance.

Comments about Rycote Mini Windjammer:
Bought this with our DM-50 MICROPHONE and I am SOOOO glad I did. In locations where in the past it was hard to hear over the windblowing over the microphone, went to absolutely NO wind sound at all. We were at the beach and the combination of the new microphone and windjammer lead to excellent audio, I was sure I might catch a little wind noise and I was happy I never did. Worth the money.

Comments about Rycote Mini Windjammer:
This product is really great at cutting down wind noise. On a recently very gusty day filming with my camcorder with the windjammer in place virtually all the noise caused by the wind hitting the camera microphone was removed allowing the sound of leaves rustling in the trees to be clearly heard.
