Use this on my Canon 70-200 IS II with hood rather than the plastic lens cap while hiking. Taking the factory lens cap on and off with the hood on is a chore. This is very easy and protects very well.

I bought this "cap" to use in Antarctica with the Sport Shield 200 cover (reviewed separately). This is a handy accessory, allowing you to quickly cover the lens when you are not shooting, protecting it from spray, blowing rain, etc. Very easy to install and remove, it uses a draw cord to tighten around the lens. Made of the same high quality material as the camera cover. Highly recommended.
