I love it for shooting sports. Field hockey, soccer, football, anything where there is an awesome chance of getting soaked. Going to places where I know bad weather is a high possibility, putting my Canon L lenses under it with the guarantee that it works for me. I don't have the eye piece for it, and I don't really think it is needed if you want to drop the X number of dollars for it, do it, but I wouldn't worry too much. Bottom line, it is awesome.

I use an Aqua Tech on my 300 2.8 and it fits and works really well, so I assumed this one would operate in a similar way. It fits the Canon Mark II with 70-200L just fine. The only trouble is Aqua Tech has designed this model WITHOUT a provision for using a neck strap with the camera once it's covered. It is impossible for me to have this camera w/70-200 hanging on my shoulder while shooting with a second camera w/300 on a monopod.
No strap holes in the SS-SPORT rain cover means that many sports photographers who use multiple bodies are out of luck.

This product is very bulky and hard to use. Not sure if it's worth it. Ironically after spending all the money for this, I keep it in my closet, and use the cheap plastic disposable camera covers...

I had originally ordered an SS-Zoom for my small focal length lenses, but returned it for this, as I didn't like all the bells and whistles that don't work as intended on the "Zoom", nor the price...as I haven't used it yet in really ------
weather, I can't completely vouch for it yet, particularly with the non waterproof wrist zipper function...but Aqua Tech gear IS well made for the most part, and I have come to trust them for the really bad, wet, wind blown stuff thrown at my larger lenses...giving it a guarded 4 for now, and hoping for more...stay tuned...

I use the rain cover during outdoor varsity high school sports. It protects your camera exactly like it's suppose too. It has two "see through" windows to enable you to view your settings. Unfortunatley, It does not have a third window on the top lefthand side which would help view the other controls - those you have to feel your way to them on top of the rain cover. But this product still gets a 5 star rating. It's a must piece of equipment if your photographing sports or whatever else in the rain.

SS Sport saved Nikon equipment from 2 sudden heavy downpours while on a european trip recently. Rain beads-up and slides, camera and lens bone dry. Easy on and off in seconds for me. Rugged enough for hikes and trails. Recommend practice fitting runs. Hard to choose the perfect-right-fit model at first, but the AT and other sites helped. Also I had to use manual focus since it covers the auto-focus sensor. Non padded so dont drop camera. Possible tripod use by partially unzipping sleeve. A great quality product.

Keeps your camera dry..... but... Poorly design, baggy on my D300, view windows are not even close to the camera panels, tricky installation specially in the lens front.

This is a very well made, sturdy rain cover. Glad I got the eye piece as you need it to provide more protection and viewing.
This cover is a little big for my D90(upgrading soon), so I'll keep it. I have to bunch it up some with my Nikon D90, but that works. Good fit with the Nikon 70-300mm on it.(lense sleeve)
I've only used it in drizzle, but I'm sure it would protect during a rainstorm.

Very well made product. Easy enough to fit onto camera but needs eye piece (extra cost) to fit properly. I used this cover to protect my camera from rain and snow on a mountain trip. It did it's job well.
Only issue I had was when adjusting the lens in and out the excess material gets in the way a little. Also after a while condensation builds up inside the cover. I used a small towel to take care of the condensation. I don't shoot that much in wet weather, so I can live with these small issues.

I use an Aqua Tech Cover for my Canon 600, and it always keeped my equipment dry and sandfree on the beach, shooting windsurfing.
This one is used with smaller lenses, used it to cover a roadtrip through Tasmania, mostly in rain, great piece of equipment!

Easy to use and keep camera completely dry while being hit with large splashes of water. You can shoot without the eye piece but I recommend buying it.

Seems like a good quality product. Annoying that you have to pay quite a bit more for a eyepiece to fit this product to your camera. You can skate without it I think, but are safer going ahead and buying the eyepiece.

Comments about AquaTech SS-SPORT Rain Cover (Navy):
This is a good product. Only thing that I have ran into is what others have posted; it tends to fog up just a little bit. I don't have a hood for my lens, so there is a lot of fabric around the end making it a little bit difficult to focus. However, with a hood on the lense, I believe that this would be solved. I did buy the eye piece to go with it. Works good as well. Overall a good product.

Been shooting surfing with it and it works great; just wanted the front adjustment ( at the end of the lens) to be more easily to adjust

I like the ease with which it goes on and off and the accessibility to the controls--you can still use all of the controls and protect your camera.
