Very hard getting this onto the camera view finder's latch. Once it is latched on (after 5-10 minutes of trying) it makes it so the rain cover itself doesn't fit the cameras well anymore.

this item works as described. However it does not lock on the nikon d90 eye viewer as tight as it should and consequently tends to work up and pop off if you are not careful. The outer ring is made of some form of semi-hard foam rubber but you need to handle with care or it tends to tear. Needed to keep camera rain cover rain tight.

i bought this when i got a rain cover, now this eyepiece stays on my camera all the time. its like a pillow for your eye. much better than the tiny little piece of rubber that comes on teh camera. it is quite a tight fit on both my d200 and d300 but when its on its solid and stays there.

This is simple and effective. My only glitch is that I needed this for my D300. I don't know if there is a little difference between the D300 and the D80, but this goes on the D300 with a TIGHT fit. Other than that, it just works.

This fits nicely on my D200 Nikon however the round hole in the rainshield was very difficult to stretch around the rectangular eyepiece. I had to cut the neoprene to make a rectangular hole.
