Bright image again, replaced bulb with 3000hrs on it
Hopefully will be able to acheive same bulb life again. Only gave it 4 stars, due not knowing what the ultimate life of the bulb will be. Will not that for a couple of years.

Yes, these are pricey. However, my two projectors are mounted 15 feet up, and I don't want to have to change bulbs any more often than necessary.
My previous pair of Epson OEM bulbs had been in service over 4 years and nearly 3,000 hours when replaced, and were still working. However, they had greatly exceeded their estimated service life, and needed to be replaced.
I will continue to buy Epson lamps from B&H.

Don't waste your money or time on the Chines replacement bulb.You will spend more on the Epson replacment bulb,but your projector will give you the picture you bought it for.

I am hopeful that this real bulb will last much longer than a non-oem bulb I tried last. It did not last but about 1/2 of what the orginal Epson bulb did.

The big money for an OEM bulb is a hard price to swallow when you see the knockoff bulbs out there for less than $. Trust me, the knockoffs ARE too good to be true. I speak from experience and ended up having to get an OEM anyway. Save yourself the pain and just get the OEM.4 Stars I guess - Still really expensive for an older bulb but awful pleasing to the eye when you get your old one replaced!

I have a PowerLite Home Cinema 720 as our main TV, so I quickly rack up hours on bulbs. I've had great luck with these bulbs, but I wanted to save some money so I bought a couple of 'compatible" bulbs and was very disappointed. Both knock-off bulbs were very dim, about as bright as a genuine bulb with about 5000 hours on it.
Lesson learned.
I'm buying this bulb tonight and I'll stick with genuine Epson bulbs from now on.
This bulb comes with tools for unscrewing and pulling out the bulb, which is a bonus.

I have had the epson 720 projector for close to a year....which is about how long my first bulb lasted. And I fall asleep to the TV every night.... these bulbs have serious staying power, and they look amazing!
