Comments about Moab Colorado Fiber Paper (245gsm)- 17" x 50' (Satine):

I use this paper mostly for B&W prints. It gives results very similar to traditional B&W photo paper "glossy dried matte", which is a smooth, luster appearance. It's acid-free and archival, which is important to me.

I use the roll paper because I make 17" x 25" prints, which is the right size for 3x2 format images, but Moab, like most other paper vendors, only offers 17" x 22" sheets. My Epson 3800 only takes sheets, so I cut the sheets to size by hand. But there's the advantage that I can cut either 17" x 17", 17" x 22", or 17" x 25", depending on what I want for a particular image.

The only con is that the paper doesn't flatten out as quickly or easily as I would like. But it doesn't seem to be much different than the couple of other roll papers I've used.

Comments about Moab Colorado Fiber Paper (245gsm)- 17" x 50' (Satine):

I use three Moab papers for everything but canvas printing on my Epson R4880 and this is the best one of the three.

It is heavy enough to handle even the most saturated print and handles an exceptionally wide color gamut even from their canned profile. Wider still if you profile it yourself.

The finish is a very subtle Satine and handles the ink with no discernible unwanted bleeding.

A top rate paper that satisfies my customers time and again.

Holds tonalities in black and white prints very well. Great option for a relatively inexpensive fiber based inkjet paper.
