The Harbor Digital Design Ultimate Light Box ProPack is a complete flash diffuser system for handle or shoe mount flash units. The ProPack has all of the features of the Ultimate Light Box diffuser kit and the small Half Dome diffuser, plus the added features of the unique Black Box, and six colored Gel Filters (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, and 1/2 CTO) and accessories.
The Black Box and Gel Filters can be used as a background or as a dramatic rim light. The large size of the Gel Filters produces an intense color that is not washed out like smaller gels that are mounted close to the flash lens. The light from the Black Box is very directional, and it can be used as a snoot or for a hair light, if desired. Also includes a large external reflector to direct more light towards the subject, and the Sensor/Lens Shield to protect against lens flare and flash sensor interference.

I use this product for individual and group shots at parties. It is better than the Gary Fong Lightsphere II, more direct light and more crisp and neutal in color. I use it with a Canon 580EX II on camera flash with the head at a 45 degree angle. The instuctions that come with it are poor, hard to understand and no diagrams. Experiment and you can figure out what works best for your application.

DESIGNED AND MADE WELL, BUT.....
Purchsed to handle room interiors without the use of extra lights, umbrellas, etc.
Saw no difference between this product and the built-in defusser and catchlight panel on the 580EX-II.

Comments about Harbor Digital Design Ultimate Light Box Diffuser ProPack:
As a wedding photographer finding the right flash modifier has been a real quest. I've tried a variety over the past few years. While most where good, this particular kit has become my main tool. It's nice that it's modifiable. I can configure it as needed, though usually it's just the big, white box, with the bounce card attached to the back. I've found I can aim it to bounce anyway I want. My only problem is when I try to use gels. I have to customize my own in order to get full coverage. Also, this sucker is HUGE! I need to carry it in its own bag, attached to the outside of my main bag. When I have it on my 580exII, sticking straight up off the Newton bracket I use, people take note. What matters is I like the modified flash I get using it.

Comments about Harbor Digital Design Ultimate Light Box Diffuser ProPack:
A brilliant product .... I'm a reasonably new Real Estate Photographer. It covers the rooms I shoot perfectly with a soft and even light. I haven't yet had the confidence to take the flash off the camera which I know will be time consuming setting flashes up around the room so for me this product is perfect and wish I had found out about it along time ago. Maybe it could be a little lighter. Cheers Patty

I have been using this product for about 2 weeks now and love it. I have used the lightbox and blackbox while doing pet photography outside when needed extra lighting as well as for inside portraits. Even the diffuser for the flash head works decently. Played with the colored gels for back lighting and happy with the results.

Provides flexible way of softening the sometimes harsh (despite using flash integral wide panel) light. Although slightly reducing the flash coverage it is still great accessory.

Comments about Harbor Digital Design Ultimate Light Box Diffuser ProPack:
Over the years I've tried any number of light modifiers. None that I found ever improved on simple bounce flash. I only used them when bounce was impossible or impractical. This product is different. I can't think of any situation that requires flash that wouldn't benefit from using the Ultimate Light Box. The enclosed instructions are a little weak, but there is good support on the internet. The videos which are available were a big help.

Comments about Harbor Digital Design Ultimate Light Box Diffuser ProPack:
I have used this for everything from head shots to informal groups; and formal photos of groups at a wedding. It gives a beautiful, soft light that looks nothing like on-camera flash. It has a number of ways to use it that give you choices as to how bright and diffused you'd like it.
I've seen a number of pro photographers, at weddings for exampe, who use other brands that have to be held on with Velcro, rubber bands, tape, or whatever. The Light Box will fit snugly on and give you no trouble whatsoever. It's overpriced but considering excellent results, it's well worth the money. I would never be without it when I have to use flash.
I'm buying my second one for a second 580ex to put on a stand for a quick and very portable studio lighting effect.

Comments about Harbor Digital Design Ultimate Light Box Diffuser ProPack:
Convention and PR photography is some of the most difficult imagery to make appealing and interesting. Flat on flash, even diffused flash looks so amateurish. I've worked with every existing system of flash modification, and THIS ONE IS SUPER! Using this system primarily in bounce mode, i can make one light on camera seem like two - a main and a fill at the same time. No more hot foregrounds and dark barn-like interiors. Use the translucent part for large halls, the opaque one for small rooms. My favorite is to add the opaque panels selectively for a very exciting directional light. The ULB wins me awards. Nobody has seen anything like the quality of light the ULB helps me to achieve.
