Questions? Ask our experts:

The Slik Pro-340EZ is an all-metal tripod that is effective for lightweight travel duty when one desires a professional feel. The A.M.T. super titanium alloy used for the legs makes the Pro-340EZ tripod rock steady, yet lighter than it looks. The A. M. T. alloy has a 40% greater strength to weight ratio than standard aluminum. This means that the legs are lighter, yet stronger than the standard metal used in most of today's tripods.

The included E-Z head is a 2-way pan head that has traditional all-metal construction with simple sturdy one lever operation. When released, the head can move in two directions: it can tilt up and down, and pan left or right. Its single rubberized handle controls all movement. These directions of movement make the head an ideal choice for long telephoto lenses, like 300mm f/2.8, 400mm f/5.6 or 500mm f/4.5, or spotting scopes.

Comments about Slik Pro-340EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head:

Read the specs before you buy, It's a lightweight carry tripod, and with that comes some trade offs. It's a little shorter a little easier to jiggle around and doesn't hold as much weight as my full size heavy tripod.. But for what I use it for it's perfect. If you want a tripod in this price range and don't care how much it weighs, get a bigger tripod. If you want one you can carry all day and not break the bank,, this one is for you. It's a high quality tripod, and super light.

Comments about Slik Pro-340EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head:

I wanted a small, light, but strong tripod for packing around Afghanistan, as a back up for our main tripod, and as a support for a small "behind the scenes" camera. This tripod is very compact, quite sturdy, but a little heavier than I had hoped. Definitely recommend.

Comments about Slik Pro-340EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head:

This is a perfect tripod for people who love their equipment lightweight but fully-functional. I've used this tripod successfully many times with my 5D and it's an extremely stable platform for landscapes, group photos, etc. The pan/tilt head is awesome, as it's superior to ball-heads for making minute adjusts in angles. The only drawbacks I see are that it only goes to a maximum of about 4.7 feet and does not have a bubble level.
