I bought this insert to put in a cheap canvas messenger bag. Works like a charm.
The photo of this insert here is a little misleading. The one I received is neutral gray - not white. Also, there are 4 dividers in total. The center two dividers have "ears" to hold an SLR in a vertical position with a lens attached. It fits my Rebel Xti with 75-300 lens attached perfectly. There's also room for a Canon 17-85 IS lens, a 100mm macro, a portable hard drive and miscellaneous cords and gadgets.
The internal dimensions are about 13" long x 4" wide x 9" tall. The dividers allow you to create various compartment sizes.
On various photo websites you'll find whole discussion groups where folks have used this insert to convert popular messenger bags to photo bags. It's a great way to create a discreet, non-camera bag looking bag. You can also just lift the divider out, camera and all, when you want to use the messenger bag for another purpose.
If you have the idea to convert a messenger bag to a camera bag this just might be the ticket for you.

I keep looking for the perfect camera bag that does not shout out "expensive photo gear in here". This insert can turn any run of the mill messenger-style bag into a fully padded camera bag, and you can still always pull out the insert to use the bag for hauling your everyday stuff. I do wish that the insert was either shorter or had flip-up sides. It's a little deep when I'm not carrying long lenses.

My goal for this insert is to adapt my messenger bag to carry my camera and lens on day trips without looking like a tourist with expensive camera gear. The size and padding of this insert fit perfectly inside my Mission Workshop Rummy bag. The compartments can be adjusted. With it I could carry my Canon 6D with attached 24-105mm len, flash, and the 16-35mm lens inside my messenger bag with enough room to squeeze in the 70-200 lens with it's own protective case when needed.

I purchased this to use in my Manhattan Portage messenger bag for a 5 day visit to NYC and it worked very well. I didn't want to carry my usual large Lowepro backpacks and wanted to simplify things, and to carry my gear in something that didn't scream "camera bag". This was a good solution. I mostly carried my Nikon D800 with a 24-120, a 50mm f/1.8, a couple filters and a Gorillapod and a few misc items. The weight was fine and the insert worked great.

I had read that this worked well with the Domke F-802 bag. It does. It gives one the choice of changing the configuration or taking out the dividers all together. It made my F-802 a camera bag (that doesn't look like a camera bag).

Great quality bag that easily slots into a Crumpler Western Lawn courier bag and turns it into a great camera bag. iPad slides right in between bag and insert. Works well for Leica M9 or for a couple film bodies with prime lenses.

I bought this for use in a medium TImbuk2 Classic Messenger. It's a bit smaller than I had imagined, which is actually a plus, as I have little extra room for non-photo gear. In addition to providing tons of padding (and an abundance of dividers to move and use as you please), it also makes for a nice divider of space within the bag, as there are more distinct areas in which to put files and books and things of that nature.
The one thing I wish it had was a top enclosure for those times when you don't really need ready access to cameras or lenses or whatever else you choose to store.

I have never liked carrying both a purse and a camera bag (the standard boxy black ones).
The Pro Digital 2 Photo Insert by Tenba solved all my problem. It fits in a very stylish large purse and now I can carry my camera, a couple of lenses, extra battery, charger etc. plus all my regular "stuff".
The insert is very well made and thickly padded. My camera gear is well protected and not such a target for thieves as it is hidden in a normal purse.
Would definitely purchase again.

No need to purchase a $100+ camera bag. I was able to retrofit my old messenger bag using this product. They give you two big dividers and two smaller dividers, which is more than enough for me. There's enough space to keep a camera body attached to a 24-70, a 70-200, AND a 11-16 with some additional accessories. Great product at an amazing price.

I got this for my camera and laptop to fit into my messenger bag. I found that my laptop would fit in it (15.6") if i took out the inserts and stretched it, but that left my camera out of luck. I ended up taking two inserts out and laying them flat on the bottom of my bag then inserting the insert on top of it to create a cushioned bottom and side for my laptop. Overall, it worked out really nice and this is so much better than the photo/laptop messengers because it does the same thing but with every bag you have. No need to carry obvious photo bags to have your stuff targeted!

This insert is perfect to slipping into a Timbuk2 messenger bag to create a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag. It is better padded than the Domke insert (especially on the bottom) and also has removable dividers whereas the Domke's are fixed and thin.
