Comments about Fujifilm RVP 120 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50):
I wish and hope that B&H will continue to serve those of us in the film crowd for many years to come. My only wish is that they would seek to purchase lots of film from Kodak and Fuji, even if discontinued, as these lots of discontinued film will continue to sell! I often find myself searching multiple sites for film as B&H has a limited selection of what is still available now. Their service though is great. No complaints there.

Comments about Fujifilm RVP 120 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50):
I'm mainly an automotive photographer, so color is very important to me. You can't beat the end result that Velvia 50 gives you. Along with its fine grain and a medium format camera - you'll have results that will blow your mind.

Comments about Fujifilm RVP 120 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50):
This is an outstanding Fuji product but needs careful metering. I have just used it with my Mamiya 645 Pro on the Island of St Helena with magnificent results. I doubt whether any digital camera can come close to the images projected onto a large screen; after all there are no pixels. Ideally one needs fast lenses in view of the low ISO speed; f2.8 of faster. The best results are using the Mamiya 80mm f1.9. However I have also achieved magnifient results with the Mamiya 55-110 f4.5 Zoom lens and the Mamiya 80mm Macro f4.0 on a tripod. A highly recommended film with magnificient colours that no digital can match - remember the RGB bit depth is infinite.

This slide fil provides the most vivid colors ever seen. Unmatched (except in heavily 'shopped digital). And in medium format, the slides are truly impressive.

Comments about Fujifilm RVP 120 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50):
This is a remarkable warm daylight balanced E-6 film; at ASA 50 it's virtually grainless with with a color saturation reminiscent of Kodachrome (tm). Although it has some exposure latitude this is best expended on the scene to be photographed while ensuring that the exposure takes place at exactly ASA 50; use a spot meter. The film also develops quite well with an E-6 kit at 100 degress F with a swirling agitation about every 30 seconds. I've been using the Velvia emulsion for many, many years both in 35mm and in medium format up to 6x9 cm.

This is one of the nicest transparency film money can buy. In 120 format, it just looks and feel gorgeous. The saturation makes it ideal for landscape and to enhance any colorfull situation. Not so great for portrait since it tends to give an orange tone to skin. But this is only a minor thing if you consider the great light color rendition of it. It has been the choice of many professionals for over a decade and, to this day, is still my choice for its quality, fine grain and also its price!

Superb resolution and very high color saturation- an easy first choice for landscape photography. The speed of 50 does present certain limitations, but as long as one stays within the parameters of the film, the results are superb.

Comments about Fujifilm RVP 120 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50):
Fuji Velvia 50 is the best color film ever made! If you want the absolute best color, best contrast, most detail and clarity this is the film to use. 50 speed film can be both a pro and con. I mostly shoot landscapes and other subjects on a tripod and the slow speed of the film is usually an advantage because it makes longer exposures easy in day light. But if you're fighting the wind of trying to shoot a moving subject the 50 speed film can be to slow, one other down side of velvia 50 is exposures longer than a few seconds require more and more additional time due to reciprocity failure, for twilight and night shots I simply switch to velvia 100, which is much better for very long exposures. I also shoot a high end digital camera and as good as the quality is I get better results with my medium format camera with fuji velvia. And when I scan the film with a $100 epson scanner I get 45 megapixel images with better color than my digital cameras.
