Pentax AF-200FG P-TTL Shoe Mount Flash (Guide No. 65'/20 m at 28mm)

The Pentax AF-200FG P-TTL Shoe Mount Flash is a compact, easy-to-use shoe mount-type flash that is fully compatible with all Pentax SLR cameras. Its standard design covers a 28mm lens, but it also includes a pull-out panel that adapts it to match a 24mm lens angle.
The simple dial can be set to Auto, which offers full automatic P-TTL. Two exposure compensation modes are also offered, which allow reduction of the light output by 0.5 or 1 EV. Or you can use the full manual mode, for more creative control.
NOTE: Off-camera corded TTL flash with the AF-200FG requires two pieces; the F5P 3' Extension Cord (#37347) and Hot Shoe Adapter FG (#31045).

Easy to use and mount to camera, fast charge and compatible with most auto mode, built in and quality diffuser for wide light. Battery cover is not useful and it's sense of expense is poor. Made in China, no rotation vertically and horizontally, but very accurate to use light sorce and amount of light. Not a stylish flash, a bit heavy cutting edge to exposure of deformation.Enough durability due to the static body.

This is ideal as a stronger flash than the onboard flash of the K-X - for everyday situations - parties, fill flash outside, etc. Simple to use and matches up to Pentax K-X perfectly. Haven't had to recharge batteries yet despite using it frequently.

If you want a flash unit:
... to avoid red-eye, buy it.
... to simply point and shoot, without complicated light measuring, buy it. But if you like complicated things, buy it (it can be used on manual mode).
... to take pictures of family, pets, gardens etc, buy it.
... to have it allways in a (small and lightweight) bag, buy it.
... to do everything i mentioned before and take some control on power of flash, buy it.
If you want a flash unit:
...with a tilt & swivel bounce head, forget it.
...for large distance coverage, forget it.
...for a pro performance, forget it.
If you, like me, want to have a flash unit to take better pictures on kids' parties or on vacation, you can't go wrong with AF200FG P-TTL. P-TTL mode works great to deliver the correct light on each picture.
Solid build, there's no cheap plastics.
Fast recycling with 4x 2900 MAh Pearstone AA batteries (please note that such batteries were all rated as 2200-2300 Mah by new MAha M-9000 charger/analyzer).
