Comments about Manfrotto 143F Fork for Magic Arm:

Although fairly inexpensive, I am not sure I would buy this again. That being said, it is well made and does its job, and considering the price relative to most of the Manfrotto gear, I can't penalize it with less than 5 stars. IT works really well with foam core boards as they have the outer paper holding it together. It would also work well with thicker sheets of styrofoam, but thin sheets will break apart. As other point out you could probably make this yourself, and if you don't make sure you get the 1/4-20 stud to be able to use this with a super clamp or stand (should be included even if they wanted to add a couple bucks to the price). Again, it does its job, and is well made which is why it gets 5 stars. I'd recommend it for anyone who needs it and doesn't feel like going the DIY route.

Comments about Manfrotto 143F Fork for Magic Arm:

Useful for making flags from foamcore. Doesn't work so well on sheet foam without outside backing. Doesn't come with a flag stud - need 1/4"x20 male adapter.

Foamcore is nice because the shape can be irregular and you can make holes of any shape - unlike a wooden Cucaloris.

Comments about Manfrotto 143F Fork for Magic Arm:

I was expecting more of it. Certainly doues what it says it would, but being a Manfrotto, I expected little details to be great. they're not. just a plain piece of metal with nails. that's it. It would be nice to have a little lip to attach a strobe or to even include the spigot with it. You'll need the 1/4 20 adapter to attach it to a clamp or light stand. From now on, I'll make my own. too expensive!
