Comments about Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub:
I'm not a techie person and therefore like my technology to be both simple and functional. It seems to work great with my iMac, looks nice on my desk and is super easy to use. I love the setup - how the main connectors are tucked away in the back and the easy access to the 2 ports on the top. Great design.

Connect iLok, keyboard, Logitech lapdesk, iPhone, you name it.
Got it mainly because I've heard stories about USB speakers/fans destroying laptop batteries simply by constantly drawing lots of power. This hub has an external power supply, which I believe alleviates the need for power to be taken from the laptop's USB ports

Comments about Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub:
I bought this hub to organize my external devices and try to eliminate "cord clutter". It was an easy hookup on my iMac and is working like a charm. I initially hesitated to order it because I could find little- to- no information on the dimensions, which were not shown on this link when I ordered it, or on the Belkin website.
So for those wondering about it, the hub is about 4 " wide, 5 1/2" long, and about 1/2" deep. It is a dull silver color and has one small red light to let you know it's on, and ports in use have tiny green lights.
An included guide has simple set-up instructions, but the hub is definitely "plug and play" on a Mac. I can't speak to other computers. My only gripe with the guide has a reference in the set-up instructions to "see illustration 1" and there was no illustration in the guide. I noticed that the Belkin online guide had eliminated that sentence !
Nice product. I definitely recommend it.

I use this to plug in my printer, and other devices. I have had plenty of room for usb plug-ins since I bought this. A little bigger than I thought it was going to be, but not to bad.

Comments about Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub:
Seven USB ports within arm's reach--no bending to plug into USB ports in my computer. And a powered hub means that all seven can be active and properly functioning at the same time. I couldn't live without two of these on my desk! I have nine USB devices continuously plugged into my two Belkin USB 2.0 powered hubs--don't have nine USB ports in my machine.

I had an older version that got fried by a power surge as I get my power from generator. This one matches my computer color. the old one worked great I expect this one to work great too.

Comments about Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub:
Three things are particularly satisfying to me about this product: First and foremost, being self-powered, it is reliable! No longer do I discover that my back-up hard drive is not, suddenly, showing up on my desktop. Secondly, finally I have my cake and can eat it too: more easy-to-get at ports without having to move anything, and yet more actual room on my desk. It works well, looks nice, and is very convenient.

Comments about Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub:
Works on a MAC or PC. Adds USB power only when needed. Example: a USB thumb drive didn't work on my wife's iMAC when daisychaining to the keyboard port, but after connecting into this hub, it works just fine.
I have two of these hubs stacked on top of each other, which allows me to stick up to 4 usb items into the top-mounted ports. That's handy!

Comments about Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub:
The best port hubs are the ones that work properly; Belkin has that covered but they also gave theirs a sleek, stylish look. The five ports in the back of this hub are great for connecting various wireless devices while the two on top are convenient for flash drives or network adapters. Having LED's in the front of this unit which lets you know what port is in use adds a nice touch.
